We have a surprising amount of moose for how populated the area is. There are a lot of corridors for them to travel though. I've been charged by a moose when I tried to push her and her calf out of a plant nursery. I hid behind a tree as it charged past then got in a skid steer with forks on the front and charged right back at it. Dumb thing charged the skid steer and barely stopped before smashing into the forks with its chest. Finally smashed through the back fence and ran off.

Wow, that must have been scary! We have some deer here in the dunes, but they are always scared and quickly run away.
