Raspberry Bumblebees, Hot Alpaca, The Schlep, Cascades, Higher Leaf, Landing - Friday
It was a slightly busy morning yesterday getting the boys to school as J took his skis in for the teach the teacher so @stryeyz took him in. Both boys had field days but she ended up going and helping at J's so she could pick him up to come home right away after school.
In the morning I was roaming the farm checking on everything when I noticed the bumblebees were still massing the raspberry plants.
I saw 4 different bumblebees flying around, judging by the coloring on them. This one had a very bright orange band across its butt.
The plants are going off this year and with the amount of bees on them at all times we are going to get a huge amount of berries.
The waters needed to be refilled for the sheep and alpaca and I tossed down the small pool and filled it for the alpaca. I sprayed her down with the hose first then she plopped down by the pool and dunked her neck and head.
At least this time she didn't plop on the side of the pool and drain it first thing.
I picked up R from school, @stryeyz brought J home, we finished packing, got the car loaded, then managed to be on the road around 3:30. The central part of the state is much of this.
We stopped for food and gas in Moses Lake then kept bombing west. The window got a good bit of ick from the crossing. The winds were blowing pretty good along the gorge and the turbines were all spinning away.
I was SO thankful that all the traffic was heading EAST. It made the drive pretty mellow. There is an atrocious section west of the pass that DOT is replacing a bridge and the east bound drops to one lane. The backup was for milessssssss. We just kept driving past the lineup and thanking everything it was over there and not on our side. The hope is we will be able to slide through that section easier on the way home.
I wanted a couple carts so put in my order before left home and stopped before we got to our friend's. Carts for travel tend to be much easier.
We got to our friend's house and the boys went to playing. We talked and visited the evening before crashing later than normal.
Today I'm hoping to go fly Tiger mountain noonish and hope my knee can handle the hike up, I'd love a bit longer of a flight. This evening we are going to Sessanta 2 concert with Maynard of Tool at the white river amphitheater.

Enjoy your flight up Tiger Mountain, take lots of photos!👍😊
Badass flight. Hr hike to launch then Half hr flight. Launched amongst a bunch of tandems. Took a full collapse about 5 minutes in but it didn't affect me nearly as bad this time. I'll have bunch of pics in the morning.
Full collapse, that sounds wicked!😳
Other than that it sounds like a good flight, looking forward to the photos!💪😊
This is a very good job you are doing here, 💯.
