Rain, HRV, Camino, 27 Mile/1hr Trainer Ride, Sun, Wind, 3DP, Bugs, Car Fix, HIke, Pedals, Work, Creality - Wednesday
Forced awake as usual by my body yesterday I woke to the rain still falling. At least we didn't get the snow like the Cascades got.
Proof I am getting over my cold, my heart rate variability is trending back to the normal range now. It is a 7 day average and you can see the big dip of my sick. Last night was trending right as well.
The O Gran Camino race is going on in Spain and I have an affinity for it as I have investigated the Camino de Santiago trail as the name of my paraglider is the Gin CAMINO.

SUCH an amazing looking region and it has me quite longing for the time, funds, and chance to go bike the 500 mile pilgrimage route.

Light brought the visibility of the rain and clouds.

Another 1/4" in the gauge. .8" since Saturday which does little for the snow pack and likely dry ass summer ahead.

The car started fine and I got the boys to school then mid morning I got on my trainer for my ride. I figured out the box fan on the chair angle and HOLY SHIT did it make a difference in my ride. SO MUCH LESS SWEATING! Made the effort far less onerous.

I got to 20 miles in 40 minutes and was cooling down at slower speed then realized I should just get to an hour so kept going and managed to get up to 27 miles. This puts me at 203 miles this month so far, last month I got 258 miles the entire month... I'd love to hit 500 this month. Average distance was 11.26 miles per ride last month over 23 rides, and this month is 18.5 so far over 11 rides.
I may have to readjust my hr zones as it is a bit hard for me to hit and stay in threshold...
I DID get PRs in a few areas and my longest trainer ride yet.
Of course the sun came out after my ride such that I could have rode outside but the winds were PUMPING so it was far better I rode inside. I have no desire to fight a cross wind on the bike right now if I don't have to.

J printed out a mouth guard case first thing in the morning but it snapped as I tried to get the hinge to break free. So I printed out a new one and after my ride managed to get the hinge to free up with some concerted effort.

I was a bit depleted after the ride and we had the perfect leftovers for me to fuel with. Penne and kale with chicken sausage. Made a world of difference for the rest of the day.

I went to go check the mail and on my way past the sheep pen I noticed a column of bugs streaming into the air in the warmth of the sun. Uggg, this could be a buggy summer...

Having the factory service manuals for cars is imperative if one wants to work on them and I found what I thought would be the answer to my parasitic electrical loss.
I popped the panel off below the steering wheel and then unplugged both relays and the security system controller. Tried starting and nothing. So I plugged in the started interrupt relay and the car started right up! The console light for the security system no longer is lit so I reattached the ground wire to the battery and will see over the next days if that was the real problem.
I called my Dad to update and he said the older Subaru cars are notorious for their shitty systems, of which he has a few hanging on the garage wall that he has removed over the years.

After another check of the mailbox I decided to hike the hill to check the fence line and got a nice view of the finally blue sky.

Later I took the time to swap out the pedals on my bike. I pulled the new ones off my mountain bike and put them on my road bike. Clipless as well but these are plastic so less damaging to the shin if I happen to miss my clip-in on a ride. I also figured out the Edge out-front bracket for my handle bars and after rotating the secondary brake handles was able to get it to fit perfectly. Will make seeing my Edge much easier on rides.

About 5pm I found I had leads from Thumbtack and now have a job setup for the 3rd to install dog doors for a person who just bought their house. The first thing I did when we bought this place was to install the dog door. SUPER imperative I feel to limit the constant door opening for them.
Creality's 12th anniversary is going on and I watched the live stream trying to win a gift card. I didn't but I damn near bought another printer as they are discounted a lot right now...

Today looks clearer and if the wind is mellow I will ride outside this afternoon. Boys to school in a couple hours then I pick them both up for their dentist appointments mid morning. We will get lunch after then they go back to school. Need to work around the farm if it stays dry, then in the afternoon I have to pick R up at 4 then J up at 4:40 so thankfully we are only 7 minutes from the school. Tomorrow I will finally go see Art at his house now that my cold is over, he is thankful for me waiting as a cough would kill him since he has 5 broken ribs still...
