Rain, Hot Tub, Tree Felling and Hauling, Golf Balls, Laptop, Dinner - Friday
Woke to rain yesterday morning, but it was mostly passing and there were some showers that crept in behind the main bits over the morning.

I took @stryeyz to work so I could have the car for the day then I got the hot tub filling again so I could then drain it. Which I did by mid morning. Ran the jets a while then opened the port to let it drain out while getting some work done for a client.

I managed to get the boys rousted and we headed to my client's house which they have been to before. This time it was for tree hauling. I trimmed the big tree of some branches hanging over the lower driveway and loaded them in the trailer. The boys hauled trees from down below, around and up to the front of the car. It saved me well over an hour if I had to do it myself.

This is the tree I cut down. It was a nice spruce but it had grown to block their view.

Limbed the bottom and loaded the branches in the trailer before I cut it down.

It was a bit of a schlep for the boys BUT they got to hunt for golf balls while they made trips with the trees, dragging them up the cart path.

The spruce tree loaded into the trailer was already pretty tall of a load.

Then to add the trees they brought up made the load really tall.

Can hardly tell I had been there cutting the tree up.

Managed to strap the branches down well enough for the trip back to the farm.

Pulled into the farm and backed up to the already large pile where we unloaded the trailer next to it. I really need to get the chipper going this summer to run a bunch of the pile through so it is not quite so big to burn in Fall/Winter.

The boys and I managed to find a total of 60 golf balls! That was just from a couple hundred foot section along the course... I have more work for this client that I will take the boys with for and they have 2 more houses to wander beneath (my clients) where they will likely find as many again. I already had hundreds of golf balls that I had found over the years of working at golf course abutting homes so had to find a bigger tub to hold them all.

It was 2pm before the hot tub was fully drained and I managed to get all the water out of it to clean the intakes and get as much debris as possible removed. Then let it fill finally.

@stryeyz laptop from her studio is borked. Fucking winblows. I am likely going to have to pull the HD to wipe it so I can install Ubuntu on it. That is a task for today maybe.

I have a full set of Callaway balls, 1-4. 3 of them had been hit once. The number of balls the boys found that were first time hits is kinda funny, and also a bit disturbing JUST how bad people have to hit to land the balls where we found them.

I picked @stryeyz up from work and once home finished topping off the hot tub so it could finally start heating up.

We ended up at Backroads for dinner which was perfect timing as the lot was full but they were all in the bar. There were 3 other tables full when we went in to eat but by the time we were done it had filled most tables.

Today I harvest garlic, work in the greenhouse, mowing needs to happen, R has a birthday party to go to this afternoon, could use a bike ride again, then maybe grill for dinner? We will see.
