Found that I am doing okay with my Thumbtack profile as I have been given top pro status for a while. I'm just stoked to be getting jobs and clients now.

I got the boys to school then headed to Autozone in Deer Park to get the new alternator. The old one was screeching and screaming every time I started the car and the car wouldn't start Wednesday morning.

It went in in minutes and I let the car run a bit. My damn phone didn't charge overnight so had to try and get something back in it before my ride.

So I went out with one road in mind to find and ride, it was a very short cut off road and was gravel. I realized if I headed north on north road it would have cut the gravel down in half... Just a prelude of my ride I guess.

Headed up Dalton then decided to try west on Burroughs. That took me to Monroe where I rode up to Bittrich-Antler and rode west.

I had ideas of road that went north but they were all gravel.

The thing that got me was riding straight at Scoop Mtn, one of the paragliding sites...

I ended up on Williams Valley road and I went north, a way I have never been before. Thankfully I had the maps on my Edge 540 so I could see if side roads went anywhere. I finally chose a gravel road east and then managed to end up almost exactly where I had hoped to, Clayton. From there I ended up on more gravel before finally settling back onto the pavement. I found Montgomery and took that east until it turned to gravel for a while then found Cedar which took me past the Deer Park airport. Down Perry and then had to do a back and forth on the Perry mile to make sure I was going to get past 40 miles.

I stopped my ride at the house at 40.4 miles, my longest ride yet. This was my last long ride before the 50 miler in 9 days. I will likely get a family ride in on Sunday then will do a 50K then a 40K ride tapers during the week, trying to give myself a couple days between to recover.

I did rather well at staying in zone 2 for much of the ride. The leftover beef stew tasted soooo good after the exertion of the ride.

I had some time before having to do pickups so I got the mower moving around the farm. Driveway entrance cut on the south side.

Then sections started but had to go around stands of camas to allow them to finish flowering. PLENTY more mowing to still be done.

Lol, one of my finds on my ride. Mr Meeseeks's catchphrase is a mj company it appears.... MMM OOOWEE!

In the short time before leaving I noticed the sheep were out of their hay so I popped open the fence in their pen and allowed them into the other pen where it is lush. I will have to come up with a bale soon.

The traffic was obnoxious as the boys and I headed to the airport to pickup @stryeyz. The eastbound 90 was backed up from Freya off ramp all the way to the base of Sunset hill.... Like 4 miles.... I chose to go through Airway Heights and the back way home. I managed to pull into a Circle K for gas and timed it perfect to get the .$40 off per gallon! Stoked on that. Then had to drive through the city, but without having to sit in the backup on the "freeway". Probably took the same time but it felt better moving more than just sitting crawling the miles.

Once home I got dinner made and gathered my tools for the gate install job I have this morning.

This morning I will get hte boys to school then come back and pack the car before heading to Home Depot to pickup the gates. I then head to client's house and will install the posts and gates. She has a number of other things that she will like in the future... They close on the house today and need the gates to be able to put their dogs in the yard. I then need to be done in time to pickup the Azure order in the early afternoon then will pickup J after his track finishing party.

Pretty nifty and I am not even taking advantage of all Thumbtack has to offer. Too busy doing the jobs...

It is perfect for me and I am really enjoying it. Back to what I enjoy doing for work.
