Predawn Grain Run, Shoveling, Race, Miles, Cleaning, 14.75 Mile Bike Ride, Greenhouse, Trash - Monday
After a later than normal night I did not get the trailer hooked up until yesterday morning at 4am which I then hauled down town to pickup a load of grain.

Little traffic but there was the homeless guy screaming at some other guy then he went tromping off towards downtown proper.

Soon I had the grain loaded and was on my way back to the farm. The light at Foothills and Nevada was stuck so I blasted through it while all the non thinking people just sat and watched it never turn green.

Home by 5:30 and I shoveled the grain out quickly into the sheep pen and got the trailer disconnected. Quite the workout first thing in the morning with a hang over.

Catalonia Spain cycling. Just wild watching the form they have and the speed with which they are able to ride.

We needed cleaning supplies so off to Dollar General I went to pickup a stack of microfiber cloths and a few gallons of vinegar. On the way I watched as the sled turned a bunch of 6s on the odometer.

Supplies back at the house ready for our friend to arrive and begin the process of cleaning up mouse dreck from the pantry. They need money for a big trip for the kids to Florida.

It was about 10:30 and I headed out on a ride. I was not sure how far I was going to go but just started riding west. I ended up taking Dalton south which is where this pic was taken. The bottom of the hill is Dragoon creek. This Garmin 540 is KILLER and I love having the display switch automatically to the climb I am on or about to start.

I really like the jerseys. It was a bit chilly to start out but then it did wonders and kept me amply warm but then also cooler as the sun got warmer.

I wasn't watching otherwise I would have added the extra 1/4 mile to get over 15.
But still PR'd a bunch on the ride. I REALLY have to tune the front derailleur so it hits all 3 sprockets smoothly. The chain popped off a couple times as I tried to shift.
The greenhouse has been planted but I neglected to start the irrigation until yesterday. I found that we have a row of spinach that has sprouted inside though. The drip lines now come on every morning to make sure we get our full spinach harvest this year.

Squash don't do well left out in the elements and I had a pile that I neglected and went bad. So in came the wheelbarrow and away it all went to the sheep pen where they nosed through it and nibbled while the birds all attacked it.
I made dinner and our friend stayed till late so ate between cleaning sessions. R had wrestling practice and it was all I could do to stay awake until they got home. I was in bed not long after 8pm and did not wake till 5am this morning... Amazing 8 hrs of sleep for once.

I woke up seriously sore so have eaten oodles of ibu and a couple flexerils to calm this down. I have my weekly session this morning, rain is inbound for the day, boys to school soon, Nancy will be back for cleaning after noon most likely, I have to look at tuning my bike, work on more cleanup around the house and yard between rain drops, and try to get a 20 - 30 min ride on the trainer at a much more moderate pace.
