Pollen, Camino, Boy's Dental, PDC, 35 Mile Zone 2 Trainer Ride PR, Sun, Soak, Driving - Thursday
Holy balls was that a ping-pong day yesterday. Body pinged me awake at normal early time and it was freezing out as the rain gauge had a layer of ice atop the water.

The stars were out and no clouds which allowed the heat to vanish.

We actually got sun a little to start the day.

I stepped outside again and noticed the insane amount of pollen that had collected on the hot tub cover after the rains had washed it out of the trees. Better there than in my sinuses!

3rd stage of the Camino went down and it was won easily after the front groups threw down on the climb. 30 mph UPHILL!!?? Good GOD they are strong! I got to see the finish after I took the boys to school. Trip 1 off the farm.

Then I went and picked the boys up and we went to their dentist where R got a couple fillings.

Then J needed 4 baby teeth yanked as they were screwing with his adult teeth coming in. His whole mouth was numb which tripped him out a good bit. Trip 2 off the farm.
After we stopped for lunch at McDonalds as it was nice soft food for them with the burgers and the shake helped J's soreness. They both missed lunch at school so had to eat.

I dropped R at school then J and I stopped at the house so he could check on his mouth and make sure the bleeding had stopped. PDC was on then and we watched Littler nearly screw up his match against Humphries but he managed to squeak out the win. He later lost to Clayton in the final quite badly. I got J to school then for my 3rd trip off the farm. I stopped for gas on the way home and picked up a beer for later as I knew I would need it by the end of the day.

Once back I was getting ready to go out for a ride but as I went to get on my bike it was sprinkling and the wind was frigid. I said "fuck it" and setup the trainer. I put on S4- The Bob Lazar Story and watched that as I spun. Having stopped smoking months ago I had taken a hit earlier in the day and once on the trainer realized the sorta performance enhancement aspect of it. It made me disregard the time I was pedaling so I just watched the tv and spun.
VERY interesting documentary and I have never really doubted Lazar despite the Government making him a pariah.
The box fan is a game changer for sure for the trainer and I hardly sweat at all this time. I DID really try to stay in zone 2 and ACTUALLY MANAGED IT!

I LOVE this app from Connect+, Peak Power Live! SO AWESOME to see my zones live while riding. It was a great way to keep myself from pushing too hard.

It was a much more mellow feel to the ride and as I was getting up in miles decided I had to get to 35 miles. It is the farthest I have ever ridden and finally rode farther than my longest run ever which was the Let's Climb A Mtn 34.5 mile run from the clock tower in Spokane to the top of Mt Spokane.
Nailed more power PRs with the ride.
And my true zone 2 metrics. I figure if a zone does not extend past the words I am staying out of it largely. I was a good bit whooped after the ride but only had half an hour then before I had to go pick R up.
So off I went and got him picked up after STEM. My 4th trip off the farm. Dropped him off at home and hung out for 20-ish minutes before having to head back up to the school.

I then picked J up after track, my 5th trip off the farm. @stryeyz got home not long after and after deciding on an easy dinner and their phone not working I drove the 2 miles to put in my order then back home to wait a bit. My 6th trip off the farm. Once it was ready I went back up and picked it up, my 7th trip off the farm.

7pm the sun finally broke through the clouds again but being late it did nothing to warm the air.

Soaking was good on my sore muscles but we need to drain and refill the water soon as it is a bit rough on the skin.
Last month I managed to get 258 miles in 24 rides. This month I have 238 miles so far in 12 rides so far... Would like to hit 500 for the month. Will be my first 100+ mile week this week.

Today will be busy again. Camino is on now, PDC is going on, I will get the boys to school in couple hours, then head to the N40 store grand opening sale. I am going up to see Art mid morning for the first time since he has been home from the hospital. Trying to decide if I take my bike to stop for a ride on the way home or not... I have to pick J up after track practice so need to be aware of timing. This evening we will watch the new Super Mario movie and then tomorrow will go to the Spokane Bike Swap to find @stryeyz a better bike.
