Then to Scheels to see if they had any gear but EVERYTHING is ice fishing now.... I did find a stellar price on 20g slugs so grabbed some boxes of them.

Then we stopped at JL Beers to have a drink and a bite to eat. Heading back to the house we went on a drive around.

A rather large buck was spooked by the car and jumped off to the left of the trees. A small pack of pheasants were along the road as well and ran into the weeds by the bush on the right.

We were heading up the road to the house and that big buck was standing on the side of the road. I stopped and he ran off but you can see how big he was. Sunday was the last day of deer season so they are all out of hiding now.

Unloading the car at the house and overhead flies one of MAFB B-52s. The buffs look and sound so unique it's impossible to misidentify them.

Pick an Air Force base and you will have a different plane flying. Here is the B-52, back on our farm it's the KC-135 flying overhead all the time.

Found a great mag and will be subscribing to it. The winter dry fly section is rather useful to me given the season now.

SNOW!!!!!! The forecast showed 3-7" and it didn't start fully snowing until late. This morning there is a few inches on the ground.

Snowing still this morning and looks to continue till maybe noon. We will be going to town after a while to hit up the thrift stores as they are the only places in town that might have used books.
