New Client, Water Feature Repair, Landscaping, Light Box, Trap, Fossils, Gems, Garden, SIV 2 - Wednesday
Yesterday morning I headed into see my new client and fix his water feature. The handy part is it's the neighbor of my existing client so I know the property well already.
It wasn't a massive repair but took some digging to make room. The manifold had exploded the end off and also had a capped expansion hose that was not needed.
I got the manifold cut out and then Bill went to Ace for the few parts I needed.
It was hot as balls in the sun so I went and stood in the shade. That is my other client's house and it was nice to go dunk my arms in the water feature to cool off.
He returned with the pars and before long I had the water feature running again.
The pump is not super big so it can run full open and not cause a fountain. I have more work for him now with night lighting needing repairs and then he has a few trees he wants taken down. The trees will be a bit more work than the night lighting.
Before I had left in the morning I had remembered that I had built a amaranth sifting box years ago. WELL... it makes the PERFECT light box for sorting the sapphires.
The trap is set. The marmot hopefully will be caught in it this morning when I go out to check...
The cucumbers needed trimming and tying badly and I found a couple that were big enough.
I was looking at the id sheets from the sapphire mine and realized that there are fossils in the mix. This is I think a clam fossil. I found a pair of them look almost the same.
Some seriously nice looking gems popping out of the mix. Really anxious to get through the rest of the bag and see which will be good for faceting.
I have a killer little setup going. Scoop the concentrate to the gold pan, add water and stir, pour into classifier stack and shake through. Top tray is largest and quickest to search and poured to left tub. Middle level is longer to search and has given one good sapphire from the level. Then the lowest level is window screen which gets rinsed in the clean water then poured to the pie dish which goes to the light box.
I got dinner made in the evening and we are finally getting garden stuffs to add in.
The hen and chicks get closed in at night so no predators get them. The chicks are all looking good and the hen is seeming happy.
Out to soak for a bit. During the day I texted and am now on the list for September 26-28 for my second SIV course in Montana. I am going to go and do full stalls and spins with my Evora and want to fly the pod harness but will have both wings and harnesses with to get as much as possible done.
For some reason @actifit broke and is now saying I "can't post so often to the chain" and has been saying that for more than 12 hours. My last post to the chain was 24 hours ago so not sure what the problem is THIS TIME... I'm not sure why THIS app is the only one I EVER have problems with...
Today I will be in the garden early before the heat, need to get the mower run around, wash my clothes first thing, I have to test my Evora wing with my pod harness and see if the speed bar is setup close to right, just found out my front mount reserve handle has been recalled...
