New Bike, Sled, Clouds, Weeding, Kiting, PDC, 3DP, Trailer - Friday
I got the email yesterday morning about the bike for J and a bit before 9am I headed north to pick it up.
$50 for the bike is perfectly fine and it fits J just right. Now R can ride J's old bike since the frame is a lot shorter but still has the 24" tires. It's shockless but that's not that big of a deal for now.
I pulled into the driveway to see the temp on the sled slam up again. I parked, popped the hood, and found the fluid had blown out the radiator cap, AGAIN! SO... I had @stryeyz pick me up a new radiator cap while in town. I really hope this is all of it finally, you can see how shitty the rubber on the old cap is.
The red Nordland potatoes put off nice purple flowers but only a handful of them are so far.
It was cloudy all day long and really looked like it wanted to rain but never did.
I spent time in the garden pulling weeds from the rows. I filled a big tub pretty quickly and dumped it to the sheep.
The boys had a birthday pool party to go to that @stryeyz took them to so I headed up to the high school to get some kiting in.
The wind worked enough that I got a fair amount of time with the wing in the air. It wasn't really strong but it was just enough for me to spend an hour out in.
It got to the point where the wind lulled for a bit so I turned around and worked on forward launch and kiting. I started at the north end and ran and kited the wing to the south. It was good practice and had me sweating pretty good. I even ended up with a couple vehicles that parked out in the lot and watched for a while.
I packed up then drove across the highway to The Ram for food to take home with me.
I got home in time to see the US Darts Masters where a couple of the Americans won! Cross, last year's winner lost 6-0.
My new keyboard is slick. I found a cyberdeck model on Printables that is killer. It is made for the Pixel 3 on the lid but the base is made exactly for the keyboard. I know J will totally love it when it is done.
Stowe kept up for part of the match but in the end Humphries got him.
Once they were back from the party I went out and got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning already.
This is the lid for the cyberdeck. It is all of 4 mm too small to fit my current phone.
Out to soak for a while then the boys decided to make popcorn super late.
I've been to town for the grain at both breweries and had to go around all the Hoopfest closures and found an interesting thing atop one barrel. The grain is emptied to the sheep, we will be going to Ninja Nation again this morning, then will go back up to 3 Rocks to see if the berries are ripe yet, if they are pick if not head back home and work around the farm. PDC is on again today and I likely will grill for dinner.

I'm planning to replace the front suspension fork on my bike with a solid one. I don't ride in rough enough conditions to need it, and I'd like a front cargo rack.
