Morning Rain, 3DP, Chiro, Bee Haas, Finished Planting Main Garden, Skink, Greenhouse, 180! - Tuesday
I was awakened by the rain and the constant tink of the drops hitting something metal outside yesterday morning. I finally gave up and got up to see the doppler was awash in green.
I had turned on the irrigation but didn't need it running during the rain so ran up and got it turned off before the 5:30 start time. It was raining pretty good and by 7 am we had .3" in the gauge.
By 8am the rain was gone. I had expected it to be around most of the morning so was pleasantly surprised when I saw the back side over us on the doppler. I got the boys to school as the rain stopped and the clouds were all nifty looking, low and roiling around.
I swapped to the PLA and gave the knife a run again. The pins are not right so had to print them a few times to get them to fit right.
Had my chiro appointment which I needed VERY badly. I got to roll a bunch of the knots out of my back and shoulders but the hips are still hard to work on.
I stopped off at North 50 on the way home for more dog food and a few other things. I got a new water reservoir for paragliding and was able to swap parts from old dead Camelbacks so the new one now has the neoprene sleeve over the tube to keep it from freezing.
Tried printing the hanger which worked a bit better but still broke when trying to open it up. A part of the hanger is not loose in the print and I have to go in and edit the model to make it work right.
I put up the mason bee house under the wood cover since it is out of the way, accessible, and covered. I hope they find it this year and populate all the cells.
Mid day I was in the garden getting the rest of the seeds in the ground. 7 rows of the main garden planted finished off the main rows.
The last of the main garden rows were off the end of the garlic and I now have 4 rows instead of 3 like years before. I have corn, pumpkins, acorn squash, and watermelon planted here.
I covered the last area over to try and keep the weeds at bay so the sunflowers and amaranth can grow along the fence.
I was dropping rocks on all the edges of the plastic when I saw a blue tailed skink race out from a hole onto the plastic. I caught the little guy then set it down into one of the holes in the plastic.
I finally got the greenhouse ready for seeds and plants. Pepper plants and one tomato will be here Friday but today IO will get the seeds all in. Almost done with the planting for the year.
Jax knows how to get comfy. Though square on the spine doesn't seem that comfortable to me...
FINALLY threw a 180 again. Felt SO good when that 3rd dart slid into the bottom right corner.
Venmo is such a pile of garbage. I hate money transferring companies, they are all such bullshit.
Today is not starting well with Venmo bullshit. I will get the boys to school in a while, plant the greenhouse, till the last garden spot and get it planted, the grass needs to be cut soon, then I will pick the boys up from running after school.

Garden planting looks awesome.... you should have a very good crop later this summer!👍😀
First time I ever have ever seen a blue tailed skink😊
I grew up with the blue tails by Yosemite, more alligator lizards but still a good number of skinks. They are great bug eaters and love it under the black plastic.
Sounds like a good addition to your farm, especially if they are bug eaters!!👍😀
It's a good life to enjoy where we farm ourselves and cook and eat what we like.
