More Rain, Bike Rack Install, Fridge Cleanout - Monday

Woke to the rain still trying to fall yesterday morning. Went out and got the package at 4am that delivered at 8:30pm which had my bike rack in it.

It acted like it wanted to dump but the rain largely went around us as per the seeming norm. I swear we have a bubble over the region that pushes rain aside.

Sat on my ass all morning and did shit all. Finally in the afternoon I installed the rack on my bike. It's not too bad for $35 and can hold 300+lbs.

Likely will get another one for J's bike which will be more than enough space for an overnight bike trip.

I spent some time in the day route planning for the eventual ride and found a path that crosses the highway 3 times on the way up and 4 times on the way back, using all back roads. It will be just over 100 miles total. Maps says 5 hrs for each 50 mile-ish segment but we will have entire days to make the distance.

Remembered Utd were playing really late in the game and turned it on to see they barely won. Seems to be the way to get the team to do something, keep the manager position in flux.

The boys got home from school as the storm was trying to move north but just couldn't manage it. The vast bulk of the storm was stream east just to the south. We got nary a drop.

The fridge was well overdue for cleaning out of old leftovers and thankfully R is good at the emptying. Together he and I got the fridge dealt with and the containers I will work on today.

Had dinner made early as R had wrestling practice. Barely managed to get my w/c and practice in.

No rain today as it is all to the south of the region. Boys to school in couple hours, dailies, then my weekly session this morning, maybe try starting some tomato seeds, then who knows.

Very nice bike rack, that's a good price my friend!👍😀
I definitely like the rear fender, nothing worse than getting splattered with water or mud I don't know why they don't put these on all bikes!!🤔

Just got back from a 15 mile ride and the mud guard worked great. The rack is solid and I am looking at a pannier set now. Also need to get stuff for J, like cycling shorts and a rack for his bike.
