Moon, Predawn Grain Run, Tree Hauling, Unloading, Gift, GARLIC PLANTING, Kraken, Fire, Grilling, RAIN - Saturday
Yesterday morning I was on my way to town before 5am for grain.

The crescent moon was super cool looking to the east.

I got to the first brewery where I had just a single barrel to load.

The moon to the right of the stop sign.

And a better zoomed version.

Then it was onto the next brewery which meant I drove right by the Pavilion which is lit at night.

2 barrels awaited me at the second brewery which I got loaded quickly.

It was back to the farm at this point and the traffic was pretty mellow the whole time.

Weather inbound!

About 7:30 I went and unloaded the grain into the sheep pen.

It was after 10 am and all of us went to load up the tree to haul home.

The rounds got loaded first then the branches all got drug up and loaded.

Steep hill to get up to the trailer.

It went way faster with four of us hauling rather than just myself.

Everything cleaned up and hauled to the trailer.

As we were loading the last branches rocks had rolled onto the sidewalk. @stryeyz was going to grab one with her hand right as R swung his foot to kick it. He smashed her middle finger bad and she was in intense pain from it. I got the straps on the trailer as quick as I could then headed straight for home.

I dropped everyone by the house then backed the trailer into the sheep pen where I unloaded all the branches.

Then the logs got dumped by the curing stacks.

R had a birthday party to go to so he and I headed up to the Dollar General where he found a couple gifts and we got more wrapping paper.

It wasn't until after 2 pm when I could get to garlic planting. I had to use my bigger dibble for the holes as the Georgian Crystal are big huge cloves. 132 went in the ground.

Then I got 146 Uzbekistan cloves and then went through with the rake and filled the holes. I now have 2630 cloves in the ground from 16 varieties. Just 6 more to go.

I then roamed the farm raking needles into piles to use as cover.

The Kraken play Toronto and it was another pretty even game.

I pulled steaks pout to thaw and got the fire going in the pit for the first time in months.

It was back and forth all game long with one team up 1 then tied.

The fire got going nicely and eventually was low enough to get the meat on.

The game tied at the end went to OT.

The steaks came out quite delicious!

It had been threatening to rain much of the day but it really hit in the evening.

Bout time they won an overtime!

I was torched by 8pm and headed for a shower and then bed as the rains really moved in overnight and has just moved on past this morning.

The storm is past now and looks like it will be a likely rainless day. If so then I will need to get the last #garlic planted. Utd will get destroyed by Liverpool, PDC finals will be on, Needles get moved to cover the garlic rows, then figure out dinner this evening.

Dinner looks delicious, my friend!🤗
My son and I just came back from Coeur d’Alene. He said things are much cheaper in Idaho!😊
Nice that you live close to the border!👍
It's absurd. Newport is north of us and you drive across the river and the gas is $0.50 cheaper a gallon than the other side.... Hence part of the freedom state movement.
My son was telling me that you can almost feel the conservative atmosphere in Idaho!😊😇
If it wasn’t for our newborn granddaughter……..🤔
