I was up north yesterday morning for a job. I had a couple deadbolts to install and the first was on the shed. The door had planking on it so the old lock was sunk into holes that were cut in the planking on either side of the actual door. I had to use my jigsaw and wood chisels to cut the hole square for the new lock.
Both sides fit well though the cuts weren't the greatest. The lock works though.
I got his garage door frame sanded down where the door corner was catching then tried to glue the metal back to the door. It had pulled away from the sticking spot.
Then I replaced the front door deadbolt. The old one had screws/bolts that had nearly no slot left to use to unscrew it. I had to hack at the inner housing to make slack to get them unscrewed.
Pulled the pins on the bathroom door and used emory cloth to smooth them out then sprayed a touch of silicone spray on to keep them from squeaking.
I then got to the deck boards that needed some deck screws to solidify the ones that had loosened up.
I was back home noonish and then later was out in the garden. A handful of cucs were ready in the greenhouse.
I checked the cooler but it is not getting super cold, only about 55 but I still put the bag of cabbage in as the counter was not doing the heads any good.
The studio got it's a/c installed in the window next. It's the workout area and the heat gets to be a bit too much.
I have another job scheduled for Thursday to clean a small water feature which I will be getting a pressure washer today for. I have needed a good pressure washer for years but now have the real impetus to finally get one.
I swapped out the tube on my bike rear tire for the proper sized one and got the spares loaded in my saddle bag.
I was on the couch this morning thanks to my hips and called it good at 4:45am. When I popped my head up I saw a bat on the inside of our screen door. The fucking cat brought in a LIVE bat last night and I was not able to catch it. It is now hunkered down somewhere in the house....... UGG. At least it is a bat and not a bird so it will only be active at night and not flitting around all day long. Maybe it will just eat the rash of moths that keep getting in?
I have my session this morning then will go to Harbor Freight for the pressure washer. I'll test the p/w out today, work in the garden, try to find the bat, maybe get a ride in, then figure out what to cook for dinner on the Blackstone.

Years ago I had one get inside through opening our garage door we didn't find it till 2 o'clock in the morning flying around in our skylight above our bed Lol!π
I found it. It was on the base of the sliders near the fan. I didn't see it until I was turning the fan off and moving it. I grabbed it and let it go outside.

It wasn't the bat's fault it ended up in the house. I'm fine with the cat catching whatever as long as it is not brought in the house. We are NOT starving or need to be fed. I'd be more than okay with her calming down the live toys.
They are a natural predators..... I guess the cat wanted to share a gift with you!π³πβΊοΈ
