Landscaping Work, General Contractor License, More Garlic Harvesting - Tuesday
Yesterday morning was a bit fucked. I had ultra rare dream and it kept going in my mind all day long while I was going through my day. I headed into @stryeyz work to get my application papers notarized by her boss so I could submit later in the day.
Then stopped to deal with a valve issue at my last Saturday job but did not have the hose clamp with me. Not enough time to run home so just went to my weekly session which was good. Realizing that the bad asthma and eczema I had as a child formed much of who I am today and my way of thinking and being.
Then I ended up at one of my clients and have a laundry list of tasks to take care of. One is to build stairs from the tree down the hill to make the steep less so.
The tree had not been pruned in years and has so much dead inside. I hacked a bunch out but still have more to remove from inside the canopy. I then pulled two plants and put rose bushes in their place. Trimmed on some of the trees by the garage as well.
Took my chainsaw down the hill and thinned the smaller trees out. I have a larger spruce up the hill that will get cut down but I need the trailer for that so likely will do that Saturday morning when it is cooler. Then I will drag the trees up the hill and a small pile of branches to haul off.
Something in the mix caused my body to freak out and I had hive like reaction all up my arms. I headed home to get the part for the irrigation at the other place and washed my arms and put benadryl cream on to try and calm it. THEN I headed back out and got the valve fixed.
THEN I drove down into Spokane to the L&I office and submitted my general contractor application which was able to get completed with a bit of work to get an affidavit emailed to me then to the office. I am now legally a general contractor in Washington State.
I got home about 3:30 and after a bit of rest I had to head out to the garden and get more garlic harvested. 3 more types down and all the harvested are under cover as there is rain in the forecast for the end of the week.
I have 4 more types to dig from the main garden to the right of the open space. That will happen tomorrow as I have no job scheduled since the hot tub repair will be happening in the morning.
Today I will be in town early to do a flooring install for one of my clients at her rental house. Water damage in the lower level and the tenant's 3 kids have been sharing one room... I will get the bedrooms done first so hopefully they can get back into their rooms. If I have to I will finish it up on Friday. @stryeyz and I have our session this evening so I can only work till 3pm or so.
Oh, and something has eaten all of our chickens... we have none left. Even broke into the brooder and ate the 4 younger birds in there. At this point I am about done with the farm anyway as I have had little impetus to work around here given the amount of time I am working for others now.
