Huge Grain Run, So Much Shoveling, Pea Fence, Clothes Line, Mowing, Garlic Order, Fire, Grilling, Water Line, PAIN - Saturday
Early mornings are not doing well for me and I end up with real shitty sleep. Yesterday I made it out of the house and on the road to town before 5:30am and the sunrise looked nifty as I got a few miles south.
6 full barrels of grain were waiting and holy shit the 3 recent were still full of liquid and stupid heavy.
5 barrels I could unload in the trailer but the last has to be shoveled out leaning against it. BARELY enough room for all the grain.
Loaded down and ready for the slog home.
Stopped for gas on the way so @stryeyz would have a full tank.
I backed the trailer into the sheep pen and proceeded to shovel the grain all out into big piles.
After shoveling it all INTO the trailer I had no desire to do anything more than get it out of the trailer once home. The sheep and birds don't seem to care either way.
Zelle is annoying in their hyper security. It wouldn't let my payment go through for the harness the night before so I had to call our credit union once they opened after 9am to have them allow the payment to go through. Stupid annoying but whatever, at least I know I have to call for large purchases.
The peas are popping in the row and needed the fence put up. I got the posts pounded in then the fence strung up. As I walked along the row I noticed the boys had planted the peas in 2 rows instead of the one. The other row got planted with potatoes... I hope they are short plants so I can run a smaller fence on the row for them.
@stryeyz and the boys were at the craft fair for the morning and I got my clothes washed and with it warmer I got the clothes line strung up.
We have rain inbound so I wanted to get the grass cut around the farm. I got the wheeled trimmer out and got to work by the creek.
The lower area gets mowed first since up the hill are tons of flowers, wild strawberry, and eventual flowers that I try to let grow.
Then I drug it across the bridge and cut through the really tall and thick grass below our road. This is also the path the boys take in from the bus stop.
At some point over the morning I developed a pain in my side that is still there this morning. Bottom of the rib cage I got some fucked up knots that are a constant pain. My elbow pain hit super hard as well. I am trying to deal with my uneven legs and might be fucking myself up by trying to change. I only added an insole to my left shoe which is maybe an extra mm or 2 of height that I wouldn't think would cause this much problems. I'll see the chiro Tuesday and hopefully know more.
I got a response email back from Snow Valley Garlic and so I ordered my other garlic for September pickup at their farm. This is going to put me at 22 varieties growing next year.
Despite the pain I had to keep mowing. The inner yard and pathways are now done and just in time for the rain that will be here in a couple hours.
The highway tree had no more daffodils but there were a couple of a tulips still so I plucked them for @stryeyz.
Got the fire going for grilling later.
Then got the steaks on to grill.
I was going to put the tiller in the shed when I noticed a washout on the pathway. I found the drip line had popped out of the coupler and had blasted water each morning on the path. It took a while to fix and my elbow was screaming in pain as I had to push the tubing onto the couplers then crimp them down.
Shower, tons of percussion massager, then bed last night with a muscle relaxer and I still slept for shit this morning. The pain is really frustrating.
Mother's day today and we will be getting rain off and on. Utd are going to lose, I'm going to try and reduce the pain if possible, and make sure everything is undercover for the rains.

I hope you feel better soon my friend sounds painful….
Enjoy those steaks they look delicious!👍😊
Haven't checked in on you for a while. I see you have been busy, as usual. I'm sorry you are in so much pain. Hope the chiropractor can help. Do you get massages as well? I swear by that!
Some but I've never been a huge fan of massage. I'm likely going to have to hook up the TENS and zap myself for a good while today to see if it will help.
