Harvests, Slug, Digging More Spuds, Lunch, Bagging Potatoes, Moon - Sunday

I'm never upset by getting a smaller load of summer squash picked for the day, that just means I am on top of them and not letting them go all Akira. They last a while in the cooler but take up a lot of space.

As I tromped across the garden to the greenhouse I found this monster Limax maximus slug (Leopard Slug) oozing along the plastic. It got a free flight out of the garden and landed in the plum trees.

The cucumbers had a nice amount ready. I pick the curly ones earlier so as not to have the plants put effort into growing them. I rather have them straight but since I'm not selling this year it doesn't matter TOO much, other than storabilty.

Mid morning in the main garden I got more of the red potatoes dug which ended up at 39 pounds.

Washed and dried on the deck in the sun.

The marigolds are flowering nicely now!

@stryeyz and I went out for lunch and as we parked this badass truck was parked there.

Leftovers for today!

The bags delivered and I was right away out on the deck sorting the spuds. It's a bit tough to get them all sorted right but I have various sizes separated.

52 pounds and 53 pounds in the bags of small and medium red potatoes. I ordered more bags of smaller sizes so I can make up 10 pound bags.

Later in the afternoon I headed out to the pole garden and dug through another row of the yellow. These 2 were 43.25 pounds which gave me 82.5 for the day and 350 pounds total so far.

Washed and left to dry overnight I will bag them this morning.

I caught view of the moon to the south and stepped out onto the deck to get shots. This one was just normal settings.

But this one used night time setting which the pixel takes 10 shots in quick succession then does its own stacking to get this much better and clearer image.

Today I get harvests done then take the boys for a play day at their friend's, then I will head to Post Falls to drop off the engine parts to get worked on. I'm going to stop off at Saltese possibly for a hike and fly, then have more spuds to dig.

I didn’t know you had slugs on the eastern side!🙄
They are so destructive to gardens over here!🤬
My neighbor tells me that their ducks love to eat them!
