Grain Run, Tour, Tilling and Dirt Moving, Wet Suit Swim, 50 Mile Ride Signup, Sunset - Saturday
5am yesterday I was on the road to town for a load of grain.

The dawn was rather nice looking.

I had essentially 2 full barrels to load up at the brewery.

Which took me about 10 minutes to load then I was headed back north.

The sun was just poking about behind Mt Spokane.

I was home in time to see Pogi dominate the stage in crazy strong fashion.

I got the trailer loaded with the tiller, wheelbarrow, and tools atop the grain and headed up to my client's with the boys. I set them to work digging the soil and tossing it to the sides to lower a hump.

This area needed tilling and a load of grain tilled in.

I tilled the front yard area and leveled out 2 pads where the cinder block planters will be built.

The grain got spread and then I tilled it in really well. I was fighting the tiller though as it busted the wheel pin so I had to improvise by breaking a screw driver and used it as the pin to finish the job.

The boys did a lot of shoveling and got the area busted down well while I was working.

The end tilled. She will have a bit of a brewery smell in the house for a couple days thanks to the grain in the soil.

By noon we had the area by the deck dug down and I raked it out nice. I had brought food with so we ate before finishing cleaning up. I levered some big boulders out of the ground and also moved her chest freezer for her. We were back home by 12:30 pm.

It took a good bit for @stryeyz to get her wet suit on at the house then we drove the few miles to the lake for her to go for her first swim with it. HOLY SHIT the lake was PACKED with people.

In she went.

J and I sat on the shore and watched and J found the long rail that he managed to slide down from the top a bunch of times. He proved to be an example and near us leaving some younger kids came running to the stairs to try it themselves.

R went in the water and swam out to @stryeyz. He had no wet suit so the water was rather cold for him.

Her buoyant wet suit helped with him glued to her. She had a great first swim and is very much looking forward to more swims on the weekends.

Back home a bit later I decided to go ahead an sign up for the Cycle Celebration 50 mile ride in July and signed up the family for the 10 mile ride. The boys are free so it was just our 2 entries. So my first 50 mile ride is in 2 weeks from today and this will is 12 weeks out from today. That gives me a May ride, I have SIV in June, then this ride in July. I just need to find a ride/race for August then in September I want to do the Rim Ride 100 mile.

After dinner the sunset was looking killer so we all went for a walk/hike up the hill to see it.

Sunset Camas shot.

The colors were super cool.

Got a soak in but ended up rather warm so got one cycle.

Up watching the Euro races this morning while I write this. I have a job this morning in the Valley changing locks out for a new client then will have to be home as I take J to his flag football this afternoon.
