It was Sunday so I went to town a bit later than normal yesterday morning, it was still early though.

Had 2.5 barrels awaiting me which I quickly had loaded into the trailer.

Headed for home then.

Where I shoveled out the trailer into the sheep pen then dropped the trailer.

Was cool to see Quinn in the lead of the Tour stage for a while. He eventually got caught by the group though. Jonas had a gnarly crash and fractured his collar bone and is out of the Tour, all but sealing the GC for Pogi.

We all headed up to the mountain mid morning to pick thimble berries. The patches are producing pretty well and the lower elevation ones were more ripe than the higher.

My belt for my kilt worked perfect to hang the bucket from for picking. We picked for over an hour before heading for home. I had the most self control and most all the berries I picked went in the bucket. J ate every berry he picked and then ended up shitting his brains out later in the day... or as the saying goes, pooped like a Christmas goose...

We got home just in time to watch the kick off of the World Cup final and it was good to see Spain win. Poor poor Messi... Lol. Likely the last World Cup for him as well.

After picking the small handful of peas I got another big bag of cabbage harvested. The shitty cabbage moths do a shit ton of damage as well as the earwigs. I have to take a lot of outer leaves to get to the still good insides. There are a number left in the row to try and grow

I managed to get the next variety of #garlic process. The Music is a killer variety and one I will for sure grow again. Big fat bulbs and 9 pounds in the bag.

This puts me at right about 90 pounds so far with more to still dig out of the garden in the next days.

Today will be garden work after an early morning ride. I have an irrigation job at 2pm that I will get to wear my new shirt and hat for and look far more professional than prior.

Nice hall of Thimble Berries my friend!👍🤗
They are not quite ripe over here yet probably another two or three weeks!😇😊
I suppose we have thimbleberries in the area, but I haven't notice any.
They are all over Mt Spokane area. They like the wetter areas and on the slopes seem to ripen by elevation. Lower ripen first and higher later.
Interesting. It's rather dry everywhere in my area, but perhaps by the lake I'd find some.
