Grain Run, Emptying, Chain, 15 Mile Ride, GIF, Birds, Planes, Garden, Soak - Saturday
I was out of the house and on the road yesterday morning before 5am to go get a load of grain.

The dawn/sunrise was pretty cool the whole trip.

I had 4 full and a partial barrel to load up.

Which took me about 10 minutes and soon I was heading back north to the farm.

The colors were cool with the clouds to the east.

I got back to the farm and emptied the trailer right away. The sheep were up the hill for most of the shoveling so were not getting in the way until the last 1/4 left to shovel.

My trainer is great as a maintenance stand as well. Mounted the front wheel to it so I could swap out the chain for the new one I got. Who knows how many miles the old one had on it so now I get fresh links for my continued efforts.

So while @stryeyz soaked I went for a ride to see how much better the new chain is. I really was trying to keep it a bit more mellow for the ride.

I set my action cam to timelapse video and this is the GIF of the entire ride.

Over 700 miles this year and nearing 400 for the month.
This is the parent bird of the chicks on the tool shed side.

And one of the little piglets peaking out.

A pair of bi-planes flew over working on formations. They fly out of Deer Park or out of Felt's Field mostly and I see them every summer as they practice overhead.

The garden tilled I had to get the irrigation lines laid out.

Then the plastic pulled out over the rows and the lines aligned with the rows of holes.

Then I had to pound the posts in and roll out the fencing for the 2 rows of peas. I will plant today.

The Sierra Gooseberry is flowering nicely and is the first one to be in full bloom of the 4 varieties I have.

After dinner went out to soak my stupid sore muscles before crashing for the night.

Just watched Pogi dominate the Liege race as he rode away from Seixas in the last 10k and the final climb. Today I will get the garden planted, get the stringer mower out and start making passes of the rapidly growing grasses, J has flag football this afternoon, and I might get a ride in but should really take a rest day.
