Goslings, Parts, Gates Installed, Miles, Water, Fire, Grilling, Sore - Friday

AS I was dropping the boys at school yesterday morning, sitting in the parking lot R looked over to see a pair of geese with goslings trying to get out of the school field. The heads are visible to the left of the goose...

Got home, packed car, then headed to Home Depot to pickup the gates.

Arrived before client but they closed on the house yesterday so was the first days actually in the house for them. I got started quickly and set the gates to max width of 6 feet each.

The space to fence off.

I got the main post holes dug then held the posts vertical so I could get the concrete in.

It took a bit to get things level, straight, and spaced right. The center post sleeve got concreted in the middle and I had to fight with one of the hinges. I puled out my huge pry/rock bar and used the stubby point to pound the hinge over to wallow it it out to more easily except the pin. Eventually it worked right.

It was 12:30 by the time I finished and I have a full irrigation system to install for them in the net weeks. I will be renting a trencher and will be able to run the lines much easier that way.

I was on my way home and the sled turned 198000 miles. It will hit 200k in the next month or 2.

I had to go to the Azure pickup and made it a few minutes before the truck arrived. Bit of a process to get everyone their stuff but was home before 2:30. I then spent time working on the parts list for the irrigation job.

I was sore but motivated enough to go get the sprinklers setup on the upper garlic rows. They were looking a bit peeked. I have to do overhead since the rows are all so close. The main garden still needs irrigation setup on the garlic rows...

Got the fire going for grilling and let it burn itself to good coals then grilled burgers for dinner.

Ate dinner on the deck in the cooler evening air.

Soaking was nice on my super sore body. I was crashed out by dark.

Today J has the Jr Lilac Parade he is in with the school band. We will go down to see that then @stryeyz has her coworker's master's graduation ceremony to go to and I will have to go back down to the city to do a job mid day. Quite the schlep to get to it but it should be mellow... I will know more when I get there. Hopefully there are hinges on the attic access already and it just got painted over.
