Frost, PT, Fungi, Pine Needles, Silver, GARLIC PLANTING, New Computer, Garlic Cover, MEXICO TRIP - Thursday
Good and cold yesterday morning at 28F with a completely clear sky. I got the boys to school then headed straight to town for my PT appointment.

Their EMS machine is a lot nicer than mine but mine is also analog.

Got home and again the ground was FAR too frozen to plant yet. The chard all showed the frost still hanging on despite the sunshine.

For the garlic I need pine needles to cover the rows for winter. I used up the load I had on the 4 varieties I planted first so had to go gather more. I raked up a few good piles and went hunting for more.

Lots of fungi are popping now that it has rained and frozen.

I had to go get into my silver stack to see what I had paid for my Steem Silver rounds... $24/ea and silver is now over $50/oz!!! Really happy I have 60+!!

It was noon and I went to check the soil to find it STILL HARD AND FROZEN!!! SERIOUSLY!?!?

So I went and hauled the pine needles to the garden.

The bed liner worked well to drag across the farm.

Finally at 1pm the sun had warmed the soil enough I could get to planting.

1st type planted in 15mins30sec for 169 Inchelium.

Then 176 Western Rose in 12 mins for 176.

The lorz went in in 12 minutes for 175. My process got dialed in nicely. I punch all the holes, then stuff all the cloves, then back fill all the holes. The Armenian were the last at 130 in 9 minutes.

After picking R up from STEM I headed up to plant 3 types: Applegate Rose, Polish Softneck, and some Siberian. That put me at 842 cloves planted over the day and 1602 total so far. That is 11 of the 22 varieties planted and over half the cloves.

Our new media server is here and holy fuck is this thing tiny. It has 4 slots for up to 16tb expansion and comes preinstalled with ubuntu and windows. I need to take the time to get it setup.

I gathered some more needles onto the sled then dragged it into the garden and began to cover the rows.

I managed the perfect amount to cover the 4 varieties.

8 varieties planted and covered.

The clouds had moved in during the day which meant that the temps would not be near as cold overnight.

I got the 3 varieties covered with the pine needles I had stored against the fence from last year. I had to stretch over the rows near the needles to reach properly but got them covered.

OHHHHH SHIT!!!! I got the text back that I am on the list for MEXICO PARAGLIDING TRIP in JANUARY!!!!! A week in Valle De Bravo learning to thermal and XC fly!!!! This is going to be one of the best beginnings to a year in my life!
Today I have to get the boys to school then will go cut the tree down for my client and pile the branches to go back this weekend to pickup and haul off. I have more garlic to plant and cover, pickup the co-op order, the Fall carnival is at R's school this evening then we will be going to see the Monster Truck rally at the arena thanks to @stryeyz's boss giving us his box seat tickets.
