I have a temp/humidity gauge beneath the thermometer but it's hard to read from a distance so I remembered that I had the #3dprinted parts I printed out and they ended up working perfectly for what I had in mind.

The clamp fits perfect on the window trim and the arm holds nicely in place.

Much easier to read and I can judge by the difference in temp readings between this and the thermometer what the temp will be in the garden away from the warmth of the house.

10:30am and the garden soil was still frosty and ice cold. I had to wait to get started planting.

The kale were coated in ice crystals.

Waiting for the ground to thaw I went around and got the irrigation all shut off around the farm. Also worked on the deck and cleaning it for winter.

Finally at noon I could get started on the #garlic planting. The hand dibble worked perfectly!

It took me a half hour for the first variety which was 180 Carpathian.

I only took the garlic I was planting out so I was forced to go back in the house and take a short break between each. I realized that I would need more hand dibbles so I got them glued and drying.

I grabbed the next garlic and got to planting around 1pm. The 210 Penasco Blue all went in nicely.

After another short break I timed myself for the next rows. It took me 17 mins to plant 172 Northern White.

Then it took me 16 mins 30 secs to plant 210 Lukan to finish off the section. This put me at 772 garlic in the ground so far! 1/4 of the way to the 3071 that are going in.

By then it was nearly time for the boys to get home from school and R and I went to town for what was SUPPOSED to be his appointment.... Seriously WTF is wrong with people!?!?! @stryeyz called last Thursday to confirm the appointment which it was only to go in yesterday to find no doctors in the building... FUCKING CUNTS!!!! TWO APPOINTMENTS IN A ROW FOR R GOT FUCKED!!!! I was really not happy with this bullshit.

@stryeyz and I went to Deer Park for dinner at Master's Brewhouse and we both got the Biergarten burger which is divine!

Back on the farm I realized I had to cover the garlic rows due to the freezing temps right now. I was uncovering the needles and this spider made haste to get out of my way.

The load of needles got slid over after I yanked some kale out of the ground to make space.

I got the 2 rows fully covered with needles then began the other 2 rows but ran out of needles so had to go over by the Tardis to rake up a big pile that I used the wheelbarrow to haul to the garden.

I got the other 2 rows covered the best I could in the headlamp light. Then it was to the greenhouse to pick ALL the peppers from the plants since they got thwacked the night prior. Didn't even weigh them so will do that this morning.

Today I have my PT after I drop the boys at school, then will hopefully be able to get planting before noon. I want to get as many types as I can planted today, I have 4 of 22 done. Both boys have after school stuff today so have to be picked up 45 minutes apart at school, and I have to pull plastic and irrigation lines in the main garden.
