Foggy Sun, 3DP, Bike Ride to Lake To Kite, Eagle, Flowers, Sheep, Wing Packing - Tuesday
Foggy start to the day yesterday morning with another .21" of rain in the gauge. At least the garden has sprouted so this rain isn't hampering the growth.
As the fog began to burn off the sun shone through and created some killer sun rays.
I finally found a lens cover for my action camera but it didn't fit right so it took me a bunch of tries at resizing it to get it to fit just right.
Still didn't fit but I was getting ready for my bike ride so gave up on it for a while. I got the Pod stripped down, tires aired up, hooked up to my bike, then my wing and harness clipped inside.
I rode up to Bear Lake, the whole 3 miles. The bulk of the uphill is within mile 2 but it's not too bad.
I got to the field as the clouds were getting thicker but there WAS wind blowing. I got my wing out and setup then spent the next 45 minutes trying to deal with the HORRIBLE wind situation.
The field is ringed by trees and the winds out of the south southwest were blowing right over the top then into the field which created HORRIBLE swirling winds.
You can see how much I had to work by how much I was walking around the field. Those spikes in speed are when the wing got hit by a big gust and lifted me a few times. I finally had enough fighting the wind directions and packed up and headed for home.
I took the longer route back but it's nice down Perry since it is perfectly straight and rather level. I could ride most of the mile length of the rode no hands which helps the back a bit.
I love my new watch. I can now do multisport so it combines the whole activity into one but I can see each segment individually.
Once back and cooled off from the ride I managed to get the camera lens cover cover printed right so it fits, rather tight. It's a little late since the lens cover is scratched but at least this will help keep any more from happening. I need to order a new lens cover from Akaso.
The clouds eventually moved in fully and we got some sprinkles that did fall but nothing substantial.
I had gone out to bring the garbage can in from the road and as I was walking it back in I heard eagles screaming and looked up to see one way up in the sky overhead then one of my eagles sitting in one of the trees above the house. It was yelling back and forth with its mate on the hill, I'm sure they were screaming about the intruder since when it was out of sight they shut up.
It's there in the top left of the center bushy pine tree.
The dumb ass sheep were locked in to the upper corner of the new pen. They seemed totally unwilling to tromp through the brush to get back down to the waters at the base. So I went for a trudge up the hill to chase them down. On the way up I saw the masses of flowers all pointing north.
I chased the asshats down the hill then managed to get them to head for their hut all but one moron that went back up the hill. He stood up there and yelled down to the others and refused to try to come down. I went out to get the eggs laid in their bale which spooked them again and they bolted off towards the hill. The mellowed when I got out of the pen and once back in the house I watched as the alpaca lead the dumb sheep down the hill. They got to the bottom corner where the alpaca busted through the brush and popped out by the waters, but the moron sheep couldn't do the same until I went over and chased his dumb ass out.
Then OF COURSE they all went bashing back up the hillside to the top where they slept again overnight. If they want water they have to come down to them...
The boys were home from school and I kept trying to get them to put the dishes away which eventually happened. I got another wide rack printed for @stryeyz so she should have a=enough now for most all her dies.
In the evening we ended up getting a parting of the clouds so the sun shone through nicely, opposite side of the farm now.
Winds are perfect today for flying Quartzite so I got my wing, harness, and gear all packed into the new pack and holy shit is it lighter! Super killer hike and fly setup now!
Earlier in the day a pair of military helos had flown over less than 500 AGL and in formation, you'd think they'd try to quiet those fucking rotors... Anyway after we were done eating on the porch one of them flew back south towards the base. The CERE training school is to the north and I generally figure that's where the helos are heading.
Out to soak and poke around Garmin more for setting up my watch more.
Today is my 9th anniversary on Hive! It is sunny this morning as a few cells pass us to the south. I'll get the boys to school in a while, get he morning chores done around the farm, then I am heading up to Chewelah to go hike and fly Quartzite mountain with my pod. Utd play but who cares, they will most likely lose anyway. Finally get to test out my scooter for flying transit today.

Is raining a lot almost everyday!
How is the road for the bike?
It's a mountain bike so okay on the roads, I'm looking at a road bike before too long since they are better on the pavement. Or maybe just street tires for the mountain bike...
Congratulations on your ninth anniversary on Hive!💪🤗😊
Your are officially a Crypto OG!😇
I hope the winds are better today for your wing!
My id # for Hive is 9279...

Wow, I really like the view on the field, it really gives a very amazing natural beauty with the trees that can be seen around it ❤️
