Fog, PDC, Utd, 3DP, Bike Tuning, Tilling Garden, Family Bike Ride, Fire, C Plus 4, Grilling - Easter Sunday

I woke yesterday to see the fog do something I hadn't seen before. I looked out to see it in only half the yard and as I watched it completely retreated to the river then vanish. It was rather wild to watch happen within a few minutes. It would have been a really cool thing to have in high quality video.

German PDC is on and again some good matches took place.

Ipswich would have to go on a tear the last games to knock shitty Utd down to relegation so looks like the useless team gets to stay in top flight for another season. I've been really hoping they would be relegated as this season likely won't change much for next.

Tried out another of the wrenches but on 70% infill. It's a lot stronger but still made of plastic. It will work well for plastic bolts and for the boys' toys.

Slug catcher but need a different way to keep the top open.

RVB got spanked by Price on his birthday. Poor Barney lost on his 58th birthday.

IMG_20250420_105629.jpg

The tubes delivered so I went out and did a full tune up on all the bikes. Changed the tube on @stryeyz then lubed everything and dialed in the derailers. I went over all 3 bikes really well and got them snuffed up for the season. I checked over my new bike and it didn't need a single thing done to it.

After noon I headed out to the garden to do more tilling.

IMG_20250420_123749.jpg

After about 40 minutes I had well more than half the main garden tilled. The plastic got moved, irrigation lines moved, then I was good and sore.

The top part of the fruit picker printed out and the extension arm adapter works perfectly.

Around 3pm we all got on our bikes and went for a ride across the highway and down the dirt road a ways. R loves his bike that used to be J's since it has 7 gears that he is now learning to use. He is so happy to find the easier pedaling.

IMG_20250420_150207.jpg

@stryeyz was slower as she hasn't ridden in years but she made it to the bridge.

IMG_20250420_150231.jpg

1.5 miles to the bridge over Dragoon creek. I need to take my fly rod over soon.

As we were on the bridge a side by side came up with one of R's classmates and family who got these shots of us with my phone.

IMG_20250420_151557.jpg

@stryeyz bike was parked on the other side of the bridge.

IMG_20250420_151610.jpg

3.5 mile ride round trip and I tried dropping my bike to highest gear to see how fast I could get going but only peaked at 24 mph. That was on gravel though so likely could do a bit better on the pavement.

The lower basket for the fruit picker finished.

It should work really well, especially for cherries, chokecherries, juneberries, and many other higher setting fruits.

IMG_20250420_170507.jpg

Got the fire going which the boys then used to make smores as the prize for the Easter clue hunt.

IMG_20250420_173039.jpg

LOOK AT THE SPECS ON MY NEW RIG!!! Bet you all are jealous of the 64K RAM and 320x110 res with a WHOPPING 121 colors... oops I mean 16 colors in 8 brightness each...

IMG_20250420_174534.jpg

This was given to me years ago and I've the hankering to dink with it and try to get it working.

IMG_20250420_180301.jpg

It really is silly but it will code BASIC and the mechanical keyboard is great.

IMG_20250420_180318.jpg

Peripherals all plug in and there was even a light wand add on... There is also a whole group still dedicated to the Commodores.

IMG_20250420_180327.jpg

Grilled our steaks which came out super tender.

IMG_20250420_183016.jpg

We even got a nice sunset to eat to on the deck.

IMG_20250420_190805.jpg

Soaked for a while until my skin fritzed. My neck and shoulders were fried from the tilling so the Flexeril helped a ton over night.

IMG_20250420_202947.jpg

The first batch of the wasp nest decoys/diverters came of the printer. They take quite a bit of time but not a ton of filament. They are meant to be put up all around a property since wasps are territorial they won't build near another nest. I have the next batch started already and will get these up around the farm this morning.

IMG_20250420_210941.jpg

PDC finals day today, will get boys to school soon, will finish tilling main garden, keep the printer going, likely have a dying sheep, must get the bee area setup before Saturday, work on my truck, wash the sled's windows better, then figure out dinner this evening.
