FIBER INSTALLED! Ratchet Strap, Ballons, PDC, 9, Retro Game Night, Sunset, 3DP - Saturday
We are now into the Spring weather. Yesterday was cloudy but dry and the day started quite early as the Xfinity tech was here at 8am. THANKFULLY he had a 2nd arriving with a bucket truck which made their job a good bit easier.

With the busy day I managed to only get my #doodlewash watercolor done for the day. That made the first full month I have every painted daily. This was one of the more ubiquitous views in the Central Valley, most any residential street had at least one fence that looked just like this.

I had a few things to do to get ready for the fiber. This was the hole I drilled as a fresh one just for the fiber run. This goes in right next to the tv setup. My doofy ass used the 1/2"x12" auger bit to drill through and the bit drilled easy then hit wood. I continued to drill then once inside realized I had just drilled into my speaker.... Thankfully it was just the very bottom of the speaker and I will fill the hole with a cork and some glue later.

After the ratchet strap broke while getting grain I needed to make a new one that would be a shit ton stronger. So I pulled out 3 chain links and used them to connect the hook to the ratchet. Lets see this MF'er break now!!

Far cry from the weak ass webbing!

Our air purifiers work nonstop to help reduce the level of shit floating around the house. Balloons were inflated and the boys were bashing them around the house when J tossed the one into the fan and it held it tight.

They got the fiber pulled up to our pole and then I was asked to go pull my setup off the line and I popped the fiber through my carabiner and then dropped the end. I left the rope tied to the fiber line and tied it off at the base for them.

I love the railroad spike ladder, it works PERFECT and gets me to the very top of the pole with ease.

At noon the slack was getting pulled through and soon the fiber was attached to the house. My tag line worked perfect for making the run between poles and over the trees, creek, and brush. I would LOVE a 28" ladder like they have! About a $600+ ladder....

PDC World Masters is on and got to see Littler win easily.

Then Humphries threw a 9 darter, the first one of the tourney.

Our fiber box outside! OMG SO FAST!!!!! I downloaded the entire Futurama, all seasons which was 46GB and it finished in 1 hour 20 minutes!!! It was downloading at a constant 10.5mb/s which was likely due to the seeder's bandwidth limit. Starlink who???

Friends over for the evening for retro gaming and the Fairchild was the only one to get played. It is the most retro of the lot so makes sense I guess.

Quite the sunset went down.

FINALLY got the printer to go again and managed a bit o fabric.

Today is R's first wrestling tournament which will be a long day. Thankfully it is only 10-15 minutes from the house but is a round robin and likely will end late afternoon... Getting daily stuff done early then we will be in the gym on our stadium seats for the bulk of the day. Making sure to bring a battery pack with and tons of snacks for the boys for the day.

Incredible the difference in speed. And 1/3 the cost of Starlink for WAY faster!
