Dawn Grain Run, Storms, Utd, Harvests, Spider, Kilt, Spokane County Fair, Destruction Derby, Rain - Sunday
I was up stupid early again yesterday morning so I could go to town for grain. I got myself ready and was out the door before 5am and as I pulled out onto the highway the truck blew codes and went into limp mode...
So back to the house I went and grabbed my laptop and the OBD reader. Plugged in and cleared the misfire codes then it seemed to run just fine. I cautiously headed out with the laptop and OBD still plugged into the truck in case it coded again.
Was 4 full barrels worth waiting for me to load up.
It was SO nice having the truck to haul the grain with!
I stopped for gas at the newer Circle K on my way home. This was the setup with the OBD reader...
Tried to get shots of the dawn/sunrise
This was the mass of storm that was in the region.
I parked the truck and trailer for a while before heading out to shovel out the grain.
I spread a lot over the garden area and then the rest into the pen through the pallet.
Inbound rain.
Each time I walked in the house Utd were down another goal and OF COURSE lost 3-0.
The rain was short lived and not too heavy.
Just a weee bit of squash was ready.
Walked into the coop and my barn spider was smack in the middle with a huge meal. She was holding herself with one leg to the web while she held the meal with all her other legs and injected the juices into it to dissolve. She is a badass!
The greenhouse put out a normal amount.
I have been getting sick of taking my laptop out to run the OBD tester so I ordered a bluetooth one that I can leave hooked up to my truck and talks to my phone and their app so I can have constant diagnostics running and can very easily deal with codes. Thankfully is is USPS so will be here nice and early today.
My kilt was blasted with oil spots still so I took dawn and simple green with hot water and let it soak for a long time.
The screen protector for my watch had gotten trashed in the truck repair so the new one went on and it is night and day difference.
The rain came through around noon and as it passed we got ready for the fair.
The cooler temps were SUPER nice for wandering.
We got walking drinks then roamed around the fair for an hour until the derby was starting.
@stryeyz and R went for a ride on the ferris wheel.
Then we headed for the stands and got our seats up at the top.
Holy balls was the first round the BEST! It was all women and damn did they go for EVER! It was a good 20 minutes before the last car was moving. Those women KILLED IT! The 15 car came back from the dead so many times it was truly astonishing.
Then the mens' compacts went out threw down some nice destruction.
Was hoping it was the same duck that has floated around the oceans but it's just an inflatable. Huge.
The full size cars were great. Loud, powerful, and did some serious damage.
The storm was coming in pretty heavily but it skirted just to the east of the fairgrounds... But it was still COMIN RIGHT FER US!
The duck was quite massive.
We headed out of the fair and on the way home the front edge of the storm was SUPER cool and SUPER visible.
And the doppler's view of the wall of wet headed for us.
The darkness heading for us.
The sled had a gap in the seal around the sun roof so I grabbed a piece of magic tape to fill it in to keep the rain and wet out.
My kilt went into the wash and required a pair of washes to get all the soap etc out. I think I need another run this morning to get more out... Poor thing, I abused it so. I am going to work on my next kilt I will be ordering soon.
With it raining we just went to bed instead of soaking. I slept like pure and absolute garbage thanks to eating the fair food which destroyed my stomach and had me up all night/morning on the couch. The rain just stopped and I will get the boys to school in a bit, then garden stuff, then mid day I will pick R up from school and we will both go to PT. The OBD unit will be here and I will install it right away. Oh, I found that the water pump is leaking on the truck thanks to some stripped bolts I have to deal with....
