Dawn Grain Run, Pew, Cabbage, Peas, Fly Catcher Babies, GARLIC HARVEST, Bees - Thursday
I made it out of the house before 5am yesterday to head to town for a load of grain.
I had 3 1/2 barrels waiting for me which I quickly loaded into the trailer.
The sun was just up and the regular inbound air freight planes were coming in to land over head.
I stopped for gas on the way at the new circle k.
Camera didn't like the windshield in the way apparently.
I backed the trailer up to the sheep pen and shoveled the bulk of the grain out, then tipped the liner to get the rest off.
It was my day to finally pick up my pew. This thing is SICK! 5 lbs, single shot 20 gauge, that folds. It is DAMNED accurate as well.
"THIS IS MY BOOM STICK!!!!!" lol
I made it out to the garden around 10am before it got too hot and was able to get some of the cabbage harvested.
7 heads ended up weighing 20 pounds!
Then I got more than a handful of peas from the row.
More garlic is ready and I got the next row pulled and hung.
I had walked inside to check on the planting chart for the garlic and noticed the Fly Catcher on her nest pecking at an egg and eating little pieces of shell.
She flew away for a bit and I quick got a pic of the nest which showed me her 2 hatched chicks.
The Armenian garlic pulled then hung.
Followed by the Uzbekistan garlic row.
The bundles hanging in the shed.
It was 4pm and the bees were mobbing the entrance to the hive.
The last row of garlic for the day was the Inchelium which didn't give me near the 150 that I planted. I still ended up with 383 garlic harvested for the day and just shy of half the 1000 that I planted are now hanging.
@stryeyz took the boys up to kick ball in the park and I got the fire going which I grilled burgers on later.
This was a really nice placement in the triple bed but the 3rd dart of course couldn't follow.
The coop door opens and closes fine but it has to be shoveled out regularly and last night was a shoveling night.
Out to soak a bit later.
We are all heading up to go bouldering then sailing for the day with Art and Jess then hope to be home well before dark.

Nice pew pew.
BOOM!
Pretty good for $100.
I’ve never seen a shotgun that folds that’s awesome!👍😊
I wonder why they made this in 20 gauge?
Too bad they didn’t make it foldable and yet still somehow able to shoot at the same time…🤔
Like a shotgun pistol…..
They make a 410, 20, and 12 in the same style. I went with the 20 since I already had a bunch of ammo and I like the size better than a 12 or the 410.
Sounds like an awesome shotgun!👍
I wish I still had my “Mac” reloading equipment!😊
20 gauge is underrated, and a cheap break-action shotgun is still vastly superior to what the colonial militia carried 250 years ago.
