Da Rain, Hot Tub Draining Cleaning, 3DP, Burn Pile, Hot Tub Leveling, Sheep, Filling, Sun Rain - Sunday

I'm so tired of the rain. Thankfully it looks to be slowing for a while with minimal chances the rest of the week, if the forecast can be trusted. Yesterday morning was still cloudy and that was how it stayed all day long.

It was hit tub cleaning, draining, filling, draining, leveling, and refilling day.

After the scuzzy bubbly ran I used the submersible pump to drain the water out. All the jets got removed and taken inside to clean.

Around noon we got a solid line of storms that came through and douched the farm again with rain.

I was not happy with the print. I changed filament to finish the print but at some point the filament roll got stuck and the print failed. I'll still try to use them but lost and inch in length.

Despite the rain we managed to get the fire back going. The coals underneath just needed to be gathered together then a nice slug of dry pine needles atop it and the thing caught back aflame. We piled more branches from around the farm on it and let it burn.

While the tub was filling the second time before the second emptying I headed out to the end of the driveway where the little remnant pile of gravel was. I got most of it in the wheelbarrow then had to push it all the way back to the house, up the hill by the tub, then let it sit until the tub was emptied.

The moronic sheep refused to go off into the brush of the hillside so I went out and chased them up. It took the ma bit to thrash through but they then ended up on the hill up top munching away happily. They slept up there last night as they are just now heading down towards the bottom.

They get to browse and munch through the whole hillside.

WE got cell after cell that would move over and dump for 10 to 15 minutes then would be gone.

It straight DUMPED a few times and then it would be sunny as the rain moved off.

I had to lever up the hot tub and set it on logs to give me enough room to shovel the gravel under. I got it well smoothed and tossed a good amount under as well as along the edges. I had to wait for the downpours to stop so I wasn't getting soaked. I got the logs removed and the tub set down then began filling it finally.

Printing racks for @stryeyz for her metal etching and the first came out great and fast.

Wave after wave of storm rolled through the area over the day. It just wouldn't stop.

I totally forgot to put the jets back in before I started filling the tub.... DOH. Not a big deal as I can put them in this morning after I get the boys to school. I will have to balance the chems and all that anyway.

IMG_20250518_165209.jpg

The rest of the racks for the metal etching finished. The PETG should last at least 5 acid baths each and at less than an ounce of filament and less than an hour to print it can be a consumable. I then lengthened the model by 5 rows and got a set of 3 printing for storing her stamping plates.

The last round of heavier rain for the day came through around 6:30pm.

Which gave a really nice view of the sun rain. We didn't get to soak since the water was nowhere near warm enough so we watched all the Sunday night animes before the boys went to bed then a couple episodes of What They Do in the Shadows.

Today is starting sunny with chances of storms this afternoon. I'll get the boys to school in a while, the printer is just starting on more storage racks, I'll get the jets put in the hot tub, my new Garmin watch will arrive today, I'll go kite at Bear Lake mid day, get back to work on my truck, then come up with something for dinner this evening.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a year with this much rain!🙄
I would’ve thought we would have beautiful weather by now!
Glad to hear your forecast is clearing up for the rest of the week!👍

May 2020 was the worst for us, we had 4.33" and I remember the garden refused to germinate from too much rain. So far we are second to 2020 this month though.

"Should" is the key, but apparently the chemtrails aren't making it rain more on your side than ours.

We started vacationing in Leavenworth/Plain years ago, and learned that they have a slang term for people on the western side of the Cascades……. They call us the dark side Lol🙄😅
