Another gift for the family was left on the kitchen floor yesterday morning by the cat...
I had a job to go to in the morning and just a couple miles from the house my car turned over 200,000 miles. Surprised it made it this far really.
And got to watch it turn 200,002.
The had a branch on their plum tree come down over the weekend in the winds. It had fallen across the golf cart path so I hacked it up and piled it to the side to go back and haul off Saturday morning with the trailer.
I had a few dead plants to pull up which came out by hand and I set them next to the pile. I then moved the rhubarb plant to a new spot by drip emitters. Used their blower to clean off the path of all the leaves and tried to get the bulk off the gravel.
As I was driving out one of my other clients there had me come back and I scheduled more tree cutting for the weekend after this one.
Went out for a ride mid day and subjected myself to the climbs. It is really steep in a couple sections but shorter. Still is a serious workout though.
The sunflower fields are in full bloom and the heads were all facing the sun.
The fields went for quite a ways.
It was still rather smokey such that I was barely able to see Mt. Spokane or any of the mountains around the basin.
Rather surprised to find I made the KOM list for a couple segments.
After shoveling food in my mouth once home I cleaned off the upper deck then pressure washed it. Being under the pergola it doesn't see much of any rain or snow so it was pretty dirty.
The first half dried quickly in the afternoon heat then I shuffled stuff over and finished the rest. It looks and feels a lot better now.
Our first tomato was ready enough to pick. Without them supported I don't want to leave them for too long to allow parts to go mushy. It will finish ripening in the house. Later I got dinner made while trying to keep the house coolish.
This morning I have a water feature cleaning job which I will use the pressure washer for, now that I have well and good tested it out. I need to find a gutter attachment for it as that can get me a number of jobs most likely. My shoulder and hip are not happy this morning and I hope they mellow out soon.
