Bee Food, Chores, 3DP, Flycatcher Eggs, Slackline, Hill Ride, X-Alps Over - Thursday
While it was cooler yesterday morning I got the syrup made for the bees. I set it outside to let it cool which normally takes a good while. I made it a 50% mix sugar/water with 5lb/10lbs and it gave me about a gallon and a half.
Clothes washed and on the line to dry which the winds helped make the process faster.
I found a guard for my Baofeng radios that keeps the keys from getting pressed so easily.
It works quite nicely and is on my flight radio. I use the headset with ptt so I don't want the buttons getting hit accidentally. Adds just a few grams extra weight.
I was at my computer and caught the flight of the female bird from her nest and took the moment to go see how many eggs they have. No wonder she glares at me, those 4 came out of a tiny ass little bird like her...
It only took a few hours for the syrup to be cool enough and I hauled it up and poured it in the feeder. It took a very short time for them to be at the syrups edge lapping it up. Hopefully this gives them super honey making capabilities to fill the flow frames for me.
I got more of the slackline path cleared and raked. The damn birds keep scratching around in it and bringing rocks up that I need to keep pulling away.
Later in the day I grabbed the rake and headed out to the hillside towards the bone yard. I've been trying to come up with a place to build the boys a trail for their bikes but the trees make it a bit difficult. I did find this spot to make them a hill ride that goes up onto the hump and then down the other side. It was later and they were busy back at the house so will get them on it today.
After @stryeyz got back from bible study we went out to soak for a while.
But I was out thanks to my skin and was able to see the last racer in the X-Alps running to the last turn point on live tracking. He put in one HELL of a last day running through insane down pours and for well over 100km. Not sure but I think this is the most racers to make goal in the race history.
Today I'm not positive on yet. More mowing needs done, cleaning around the house, weeding in the garden, the boys have a birthday party this afternoon/evening and if the winds look good I really need to go fly Inkler's as it's been a bit since my last flight.

Nice that you take extra car of your Bees!👍
Up here I don’t think the beekeepers are feeding their bees this time of year.
One neighbor lost his entire hive last year maybe that’s why…….🤔
Washing never goes away, does it?
