Bat, Bike Ordered, Cooler, PDC, Eagle, Harvest, Leek Pollinators, Weed Pulling - Tuesday

The cat caught a bat and left its carcass on the kitchen floor for us yesterday morning. Poor bat, and the cat is a damn good hunter to have caught it. Wish she would leave the flying things alone and just eat the land based vermin...

I ordered my new bike! The X-Lab RS5 and it will ship out in the next couple days from the west side. SUPER stoked for it! I don't usually have new things so this will be quite the step up from the 20+ year old bike I am riding now.

Went to my session in the morning then bolted for home and made sure to get the house a/c going to keep some cool inside. It was a shitty warm night so the house didn't cool off a lot since I had to be up at midnight to open the windows and turn on the fans.

I think the a/c for the cooler is dead. It turned the pump on for a bit but then errored and won't blow cool. I have to drag the one from the pantry out and see if it will do the job as I need the thing running to keep the glut of produce we have cool.

PDC world match play is going on and Littler v Aspinal was great. Luke hit a 9 darter for the first leg then came within a 1/4 inch of a second one just a couple legs later.

Climbed the hill again to see the VERY stubborn Bald eagle that is refusing to learn to fly despite a full complement of proper feathers adorning it...

Another cucumber ready and a pair of purple bell peppers were ready enough in the greenhouse.

Headed out to the garden to pick peas and got side tracked by the leek flowers. They were covered in various stingy bitey things. A few I have not seen in these numbers before.

Picked the few peas that were ready and still need to decide on pulling the plants. Half of the rows are still semi productive while the lower parts of the rows are dying off.

My late planting of potatoes had fully grown in with weeds so I had to spend time yanking them out.

Hopefully the lack of competition now will allow them to grow bigger potatoes.

Today I have work this morning for a bit, it will be 100F today, need to keep working in the garden, then in the afternoon we have our couple's session, then food, then another stop before heading for home.
