Seriously, this is fucking absurd. The truck started and ran but I did something wrong again and it dumped oil on our short trip to Deer Park. Maybe the dipstick tube wasn't seated right? I'll see in the morning. Thankfully we have AAA. I'm so sick of this shit.

I would take an oil leak as sort of a positive………
Discouraging but mechanically, you might have fixed everything!
A gasket leak might be a quick fix!💪😇

Looks like it WAS the dipstick sleeve oring. The old broken one was sitting up on the shaft making itself a bit obvious.

now the oil light comes on when it idles. going to get a new oil pressure switch and an oil pressure tester. I will need it for the other truck eventually anyway and can help make sure the switch is the problem.
