Rain Rain Rain.... Welcome to Spring!

Being up so early I was able to get out of the house and on the road to town by 4am. Even on a standard work day 4am is quite early for traffic to be out so I had the road largely to myself, which is ALWAYS a good thing.

Got to the brewery to find the barrels awaiting.

Soon I had the 4 transferred into the trailer and went to run the strap across to hold it down.

AND the thing snapped.... I had to devise a way to make it work and figured out to hook the frame funky. It held and the poor old strap can FINALLY be retired...

The rain had stopped for the drive home.

Which meant I hit some nice fog bands.

By 5am I was back on the farm and shoveling the grain into the sheep pen.

The animals were not super interested in the grain as they had a pile some days earlier. They eventually mosied their way over to nibble. The birds dove in belly deep once it was light though.

Boys to school, rain past, and a 40-ish F day and I went out for a bike ride.

I have found the buff over my mouth for the exertion helps me NOT cough myself stupid once back in the house. My vest is KILLER and so perfect for activities. When my arms stay cooler my whole body stays cooler.

NOT BAD! Managed my 5 mile time in 21:54 and 10K in 29:25 which Strava says are both my PRs on the bike. I know I WAS pedaling pretty hard and constant. My speed was really pretty consistent the whole ride.

Home in time to get the PDC Masters on. Every player has a walk on song.... Gurney walks on to the WORST SONG EVER MADE!!!! Sweet Caroline is the most popular PEDO song EVER!!!! It truly is DISGUSTING the number of people who scream out the lyrics NEVER realizing it is a pedophilia song. He was singing about Caroline Kennedy when she was 11.... WTF!? Tells you a bit about who is/has been running the world ehh??? when that song is such a "staple" of society.....

I finally got myself out to the creek to work on hacking back more trees to ensure the fiber run will go smoothly. The pole saw was nice and handy and got some of the higher up branches.

But then I realized the entire tree needed to just come down so I used the hand saw and hacked it down. I whacked at the trees more and got a bunch of other branches dropped.

More branches on other trees got broken off or cut off and now my tag line runs free and clear. There is one more tree I will top but that can wait for later. It will go without worry to the lines.

Did my #doodlewash daily watercolor earlier then got the other 3 done later. The jug was nifty to play with letting the color run.

The boys home from school J is pretty stoked on learning to play his bass guitar. It is NOT a pricey brand and so there are a few "flaws" with it. He has been chewing up his fret thumb on the frets as they were set a tiny bit off with sharp edges to them. I pulled out the Dremel and a stone and hit the tops of every one. It is WAY smoother now ans he is much happier that he won't be chunking the skin on his thumb anymore.

I got steaks thawing then got the fire going outside. It took me a good bit to get it to finally stay lit but eventually it made some good coals to work with.

Between rains the fog would set in and that was the evening time.

Steaks came out perfect and dinner was ready around 6pm.

Today as per norm I was up at 3am. PDC is on early, fiber install is happening first thing this morning, then this afternoon our friends are coming over for retro gaming with out 3 machines. Sunday is a wrestling tournament all day but at least it is just in Deer Park.
