3DP, Watercolor, Run, Eagles, Tree, Gaming Corner, Railroad Spike Ladder, Melted, Wrestling, Kraken - Wednesday
3am I was up for the 2nd day in a row yesterday.... Thankfully this morning I managed to sleep longer so 4:30 instead. When it was a bit later I kicked the light on in the printer to see the half sheet of fabric that had finished printing overnight and got the next full sheet started.

#doodlewash daily prompt was Storm so this was what I did. Not too bad and am happy with the look of the land and the shadow of the storm.

Got the boys to school then headed out for my morning mile. On my way back to the house I saw my Bald Eagles perched in a tree top in the sheep pen. They had been watching me the whole time and stayed perched so I could get the pic of them.

UGGG! These trees are just fucking tall and shitty!

THAT is where the tree is rubbing the line. I had some serious thinking to do over the day about how to effectively hack the thing back.

I should start doing more full 501 sets to try and bring my average up a lot. I'm hitting ton+ WAY more often now so should be getting myself into the 70-ish range.

Holy shit I did it again... They all stacked into a 1/3 inch circle.

My new pocket fan blower is crazy cool. These little things are like a turbo blaster in the hand they are so powerful. This is the MF50 which is the lowest level version but it still BLASTS air out. I found stl files for a storage base and new nozzles which got setup and ready to print once the sheet of fabric was done.

I went down to see what it will take to top the trees and decided that I may not want to try it... There are branches that are hanging OVER the line and if I cut the tree trunk below it may hook the line tight and pop it loose from the transformer. I am rather leery about the potential for a VERY unwanted electroshock treatment...

So instead I spent time cleaning up the retro gaming gear and making the gaming corner in the living room. That also entailed popping the Atari 2600 open and blasting it with the blower to get all the 40+ years of dust out of it. I noticed a good amount of rust on the metal parts so I plan on taking it back apart and trying to clean it up more. The switches are really needing some terminal cleaning solution which will hopefully get the gunk off and make the display work better.

The units all on their shelves and the tv rolled into the corner out of the way but still usable.

Eventually finished my watercolor page. I've been working on this character a bit after it popped onto the sketching doodling page I was doing a couple days ago. Not sure if it is a cow, goat, or what yet but it is getting better as I continue drawing it. The wings on my eagle are pure shit but I like the head and the overall shape is not horrible.

The boys got home from school and right away R was back into the Atari Pinball.

FINALLY the next sheet of fabric was done and this one gives me enough for the first section of the shirt top I am making. This makes a full circle around my chest and the next 5 sections will make the bulk of the shirt from waist to under the arms. J and I figured out that at the joints like the elbow I will need to use the triangular sections as the bend on the diagonal bias is much better than the 90 degree bends.

After my awful time standing on the tippy tips of my climbing spikes I decided I would kill any need for them again on the power pole. So I grabbed 8 railroad spikes and my short sledge. On went my climbing harness and I attached a pair of daisies to the front. I climbed to the top of my ladder then pounded in spikes. The ladder is WAY better than the tiny spike points.

I am really happy I left the runner and biners attached as I was able to clip off to it and be totally safe.

Soon I had the 5th spike pounded into the pole which got me up to the top of the pole feeling WAY better about the position than the prior day.

Very happy to have had my climbing harness on as it made the effort much easier.

HOLY FUCKING HELL!!!!! THAT, THAT RIGHT THERE is what happens when you ground out 120v and 100 amps across the aluminum of the carabiner!!!!! FUCK ME am I glad I was holding onto nylon lines that are NOT conductive!!!! I pulled my setup off the line before climbing down to the ground.

My ladder of spikes....

That can only be reached from the top of the ladder.

After a quick dinner we all headed up to the high school for the wrestling match. It is SOOOO much nicer at this level, there was only soooo many people which made it not nearly as loud as the little guy tournaments that R does.

It was about 40 minutes of matches and we were heading for home. Riverside won a few more than half the matches I think. Some were rather fast and some took multiple rounds.

Once home I remembered the Kraken were playing so watched until ready for bed. They ended up actually winning 4-1.

Today I will get the boys to school in a bit, go for my run, get my clothes in the wash, the printer is already going on the next full sheet of fabric, will get my watercolor and sketching practice done, and OF COURSE @actifit borked the app update so now it is non functional, this afternoon R has STEM and then J has a school dance.

Very smart that the spikes can only be reached at the top of the ladder!👍😀
Those pocket air blasters are really cool, I picked one up a few months ago, comes in handy when I don't want to fire up the air compressor for small air blasting needs!!!
Yeah I don't need the boys climbing on them...
The little blower is killer and it doesn't have the moisture inherent in a normal compressor. Mine is exposed to the cold and damp in my shed so ends up with a good bit of water content and isn't good to hit electronics with.
Very true, I never thought about the moisture in the compressor tank……
