3DP, Sunshine, Coyote, Mushrooms, Traps, Fly Tying - Wednesday
The sets of snowflakes kept coming off the printer yesterday in quick order.

At about 1h45 per set of 12 I tried to keep the printer going mostly non-stop during the day.

Nice and sunny for a good bit of the day.

Earlier in the morning, before 7am, I was looking out at the alpaca and sheep and watched as they became alarmed then saw the coyote slinking up along the fence line. I grab the shotgun and from the deck got a shot off at it but with small bird shot I doubt any made it that far. The boom of the gun alone made the coyote bolt. Not much later after letting the neighbor know they said the coyote got one of their chickens.
I pulled some old meat from the freezer to thaw to bait the traps with later.

My window spider enjoying the bits of sun.

And another set done. I only had one flake get stuck to the plate which I printed out alone later.

I went for a hike to go try tracking the coyote and found this nice mushy on the way up the trail.

I walked along the old rail bed which goes over the creek and then found the paw prints of the coyote in the dirt of the trail that leads down the north side of the creek.

Near the art studio there is a big mass of these mushrooms that I could swear are an edible but have not found it in my books. There is a line of about 30 of them over 6 or so feet.

Even more snowflake sets. Some of these may end getting alcohol inked by @stryeyz.

Meat thawed I tied a nice chunk to the trap trip arm then set the traps near the trail that leads up from the creek and to the old wagon trail. I looked this morning and nothing so I will leave them set.

Worked on a couple new flies, the first a nymph which ended up a bit more red than I expected.

The next one came out more how I wanted and got to use some of the Firestar nylon fibers. No clue if they will work in any capacity but if anything I get practice tying.

A different set got to printing and finished in a lot longer time.

I slept horrible last night and my body is cycling through the pain levels but never dropping to zero. Found myself curled up in a ball on the edge of the bed then ended up on the couch for a while. Theracane is helping but my right side is just fucked.

I don't know if it's true, but I've always heard that coyotes will try to call out livestock or dogs and then kill them!
Glad you were able to scare it off with your shotgun!👍😀
