Such a screwy beginning to the year. January was the driest in 5 years by far, then February and March are both the wettest in 5 years.

The print was waiting for me when I woke having finished as I was going to bed.

Got the tags for the studio printed off so they are far better denoted and on separate rings.

A number of the HSW label parts. I had done them in gray before but the white will show the writing much better.

The spinning calendar is nifty and I gave it a print in very low infill. It's month, day, and day of week.

Mid morning I headed out to begin the timing chain swap. It required pulling all the front of the motor off again.

The stand finished printing but the base got borked when I split the whole thing to parts.

Everything removed and the timing cover ready to pull back off.

And there they are. It didn't take too long to get the old ones removed. I had to pull the sprockets from each cam after taking the main chain off.

All 3 chains removed.

Then the new ones got installed. In a way it's good I did this once already so the timing is not as scary of a process to have to do. The FSM shows me everything I need to do it right so it's just a matter of following the directions.

Both small chains on and the cam sprockets rebolted in place I got the main chain installed and all the guides and tensioners. I then scraped the cover mating surfaces to clean them of the sealant before I applied a new bead of it.

I had to stop for a bit so I could go pickup J after running club and was back not too long later and right back to work on the motor. I had looked earlier and found the a great sale at Columbia for ski gear so I ordered J ski pants and a jacket that will last him at least 2 seasons since these have "outgrown" built in that allows the sleeves and legs to extend 1.5 inches. Well over half off! They will be here tomorrow or Thursday.

Gasket sealant applied everywhere on the cover and it was soon back on the motor.

@stryeyz got home from work as I was putting everything back together. She took R to wrestling practice so I was able to keep working. The a/c crap went back on, then all the pulleys so I could get the serpentine belt installed. Thankfully I printed out the routing image...

The valve covers got bolted early to help keep moisture out.

It was about 6:30pm and I was so incredibly sore. I kept getting a stabbing in my right shoulder blade from all the contortioning and weird angles. I got the rest of the parts on the front and have just a few things this morning to put back in then I can add fluids, the battery, and give it a try again and HOPE it is fixed.

They got back from practice which R didn't do since his arm is tweaked. He still found ways to be active though. I was in bed early with a Flexeril which helped overnight.

Today is to be nice and warm. I'll get the boys to school in a bit, convert HBD to sats and watch for 2 sat fees, then I get the truck finished and will try starting it again. I still need to change the o2 sensors on the sled but that will require getting it in the air to get underneath it.
