3DP, Rain, Chiro, PDC, CARPORT CONSTRUCTION, Fly Tying Bench Build, Hockey - Tuesday
4:30am yesterday morning I plodded out to the kitchen to get my tea going and remembered I had a print finish in the night. PLA is nice on the build plate as once it cooled it loosened itself completely. This is the tool holder for fly tying.

Once it was light I found that the prior day's storm only dropped .05".

The next print is the magnetic hook holding tray.

Super glued the magnets to the base in the depressions.

I had my chiro appointment which was good and did help a bit.

It was a bit before noon and I caught sight of the UPS truck driving out our road and looked over to see my carport parts arrived... Sooner than Thursday thankfully.

PDC grand slam is ongoing and I have it on during the days.

With the boys out of school for the day I had them help me put the carport together.

Super nice the posts just clip to the joints. The top cover went on then the legs got added.

13'x25' now put together. The shittiest part of the whole thing was I totally tweaked my shoulder, back, and hips as we put the thing together so the rest of my day was spent in pain.

REALLY happy it has the two man doors as well as the end doors. Also has 4 screened windows. It took us an hour to put it together.

I had thought to go fishing in the afternoon but chose to work on my fly tying station. I thought I was going to need more of the articulated arm pieces so got them printed.

This piece IO glued to the bottom of the tool holder.

After a bit I went out to move my truck into the carport.

Thankfully it started up and had ZERO knock, just felt like it was on 3 cylinders instead of 6. I drove it the whole 50 feet into the carport and parked it. It smelled LIKE SHIT the exhaust but not surprising.

Light back in its place under the hood.... I now have 13'x7' space in front of the truck under the carport to work on the engine. AND it's only 1o feet from the house AND we can still walk through the carport to go to the rest of the farm.

I was thinking for a bit on how best to do what I envisioned and it hit me. I have oodles of drawer slide rails so after digging around a good bit in the tool shed managed to figure one out. I found a board that I attached to a 2x4 which got attached to the rail which is attached to the desk.

DAMNED GOOD FIGHT!!!! Caps and Canes WENT OFF! Damn near every player on the ice was fighting, even the Caps goalie was ready to throw down!

Still fiddling with the setup trying to get it right.

Printed this as a possible tool holder for the bench.

Almost there, I pulled out the various spools I might need and put the rest back in my kit. I will be printing a little set of drawers that will mount to the board by the light to have hooks and supplies in closer than the kit.

One thing I will say for the Kraken this year is they are managing to get a point in these OT games. It's FAR better than an outright loss. They are 13th overall in the league right now but there is still a long way to go in the season. I had to take a couple muscle relaxers to allow me to sleep last night.

It's raining again today and likely will be on and off for most of it. I'll get the boys to school first thing this morning, then I will move all my tools out to the carport and prepare for the engine removal. The hoist, engine stand, table, tools, lights, parts bags, etc. PDC is on again, I might hit the Fly Shop for some supplies like hooks and to ask a few questions, then we have our session this evening.

If you're ever looking for a particular feather for your fly tying, let me know. I've been collecting them from my chickens and various wild birds for years.
