3DP, Last Seeds Planted, Fencing, Cleaning, Potential Fire Averted, School Bubble Run, Irrigation - Friday
First thing yesterday morning I had the printer going with the pen chucks for the boys. The first are too big for pencils but are still pretty nifty since the chain prints so it is loose as soon as it comes off the plate. They were done in time and I got the boys to school.
Back at the house I kept working on getting the things scaled right so they will fit the #2 pencils and it took a couple tries before I nailed it.
The last of the outdoor veggie seeds went in and I'm curious how the cauliflower will do in the more shaded garden. I had it next to the greenhouse last year and it got too hot for it so this should be a bit better.
First set of pencil sized and the back one borked mid print. I cut the end off and have the other parts left.
The last row in the greenhouse needed to be filled so I stuffed basil and shallots in the holes.
The cauliflower garden needed the fencing put up around it to keep the dog out. I have to make the outer fence taller since the deer hike up from the creek and have jumped it before.
Another set. Printing for taking to the craft show next weekend.
@stryeyz was off work early and we got the floors cleaned up. I took the large mat out and thwacked it with the handle of an old broom to get the dirt and crap off it.
In the pantry we have a pair of light switches and some days ago I went in and flipped the left one on and nothing happened. I heard an electrical crackle from the switch then I turned it off then back on and it worked. I made a mental note to change it and so yesterday I did. That crackle was in my head and the worry was there that it could spark and potentially start a fire inside the wall. So while @stryeyz went to pickup the co-op order I finally found the right breaker to turn off and then got the switch swapped out.
The pole/potato garden got oodles of marigold seeds stuffed in next to the spuds. Marigolds help with pests and they look nice in the late summer.
At 4pm we all rode our bikes over to the school for R's bubble run. It was a PTA fundraiser in which the event pushed them over their goal. We were some of the first there but it ended up being pretty busy.
Both boys had friends there and spent much of their time off playing with them. It was hard to get them to sit still long enough to eat.
The run was around a super short track but they are all elementary kids so it fit. Especially for the 15 minutes that it went.
R got in 25 or so laps and called it good about a minute before the end. We rode home a bit later.
I then had time to get the fence up along the pathway by the berries. Again to keep the dog out more than anything.
I then got the irrigation going for the spud garden and went to check it.
I had 2 big holes that needed to be cut out and repaired. It works great now and isn't watering the driveway with the spray.
Used up the remains of the spool on a few gliders. Swapped over to yellow and set it to print a frame sheet.
Got to soak for all of 15 minutes as my skin freaked out badly at the chem levels. I headed in the house and downed Benadryl before topicals and bed.
I did wait long enough for the sheet to be done on the printer. Oh an my wing still hasn't arrived, I really hate USPS.
Today there are storms in the area so I have to make sure things are covered, I'll move my s19 out of the greenhouse, plant the peppers, tomato, and watermelon plants, PDC is on, there is too much grass to deal with in the berry area, the chives needs to be moved after tilling the area between the berries and the greenhouse, will have the printer going more, and I HAVE to move the plants out of the studio.

We have been busy planting seeds as well.. just planted some carrot, raddish and onion seeds in the ground.. Hoping to see them wake up soon.
I'm curious which garlic varieties you are planning on planting. An acre is a shit ton of garlic, my 1000 take up a 10x30 space and I have 13 types, next planting I will have 21.
Glad you got the switch changed out my friend!👍😊
I’m always extra cautious with electrical…..:
Awesome greenhouse you have, I’m sure it helps with cool nights this time of year!😊
