3DP, Fly Fishing, Sunshine, Hawk Attack, Birthday Outing, Blockyard, Dinner, Moon, Trailer - Saturday
SOP, 4:30am, daily. The print had finished overnight but come to fin out I had borked the settings so about half the bases got screwed up between the first layers and the rest of the print... Annoying but whatever.

It was a nice but cold morning as @stryeyz and the boys loaded up for the craft fair.

Printed out a small fly box but the latch snapped thanks to my 15% infill...

I tried gluing the tiny magnets in but they don't do anything. Trying to figure out an easy means of locking it closed now but am not coming up with any good ideas yet. Maybe bigger magnets, velcro, small bungee cord...?

The replacement bases finished printing and they came out a lot better this time. Also tried a bass guitar pick for J which came out good. I can size it down for him if he wants more.

Finally got out to the river about 10:30 and soon was wading out.

Tried a dark Cahill fly this time.

After an hour I had not caught a single fish but had TONS of bites. It was a weird session as no hooks would set despite being attacked right and left. Had one REALLY solid pull that would have been a keeper sized but it spit the hook.

So back to the house I rode as the sun finally warmed things up a bit.

I took one of my temp/humidity gauges with on my fishing pack but once home found a perfect design that I scaled taller and printed in less than half an hour.

The gauge is held quite tight in it and it clips nicely to my pack.

I was out checking the farm and chasing the young adult chickens back to their side of the fence and managed a few bits of warm sun.

My celery is still growing okay even after the freezes.

I wandered out to check the package box and found the sun in the cul-de-sac nice and warm. I stood and futzed on my phone a bit while warming up.

As I walked back into the farm I heard a bird freaking out and looked up the hill to see a hawk and a rooster tangled and rolling. They let go of each other and the rooster bailed down the hill. The hawk sat on the ground a moment then flew up into the tree near me.

I so wished I had the shotgun at the moment to pop it. It eventually flew off towards the river.

They got back from the craft fair and after unloading the car we all headed into town for R's bday outing.

He wanted a big power bank so we found a killer deal on a 20k mah Anker for him.

MMMMMM... 5080 GDDR7....

He wanted to work off the energy he had and I wish he would have chose before we left the house as we could have brought their climbing shoes and chalk bags with to the Block Yard boulder gym.

Both boys had a blast and wore themselves out pretty well.

They did good and made it up a number of problems.

R wanted Red Robin and when we drove by it after Best Buy I saw just how busy it looked at 4... It remained as busy and we had a 20 minute wait in the car for our table to be ready. It then was a bit of a shit show to get our order in but the boys kept themselves busy for the time.

I pulled up the Kraken game and watched the stats as they lost 3-2.

R got his bday desert and he fought back J's straw advances.

We eventually were on the road for home and the moon was huge on the horizon and looked super cool with the clouds.

Back at the the farm I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have already done this morning.

I will go empty the grain out of the trailer in a bit then will have to gather tools into the sled to go to my client's to run a power wire to the front light pedestal. I will have to dig under the pathway which will need pipes and such to make the path.

Hawk and Rooster fight, must have been intense! The kids look like they had a great time climbing and now I want ice cream too.
The birds were up on the hill and the hawks have FAR less concern about smaller spaces than the Eagles do. Luckily the rooster got away and now I need to keep my eyes open more for that hawk.
I am sure J will enjoy his new bass guitar pick, bass guitarist are always in demand with bands!!💪😀
His bass gets here thursday and the amp tomorrow I think.
That's awesome my friend, tell him to enjoy!!!🤗
I'm looking forward to hearing the bass in the house. BY FAR The best instrument for a small house. LES CLAYPOOL IS BASS GOD! And we love Primus!
Without a bass, most music sounds thin my friend!!
A drum kit and a bass, are the main driving force of a band!!💪🤗😀
