3DP Bottle Cages, Giro!, Raking, Rain, 21 Mile Trainer Ride, Session, Dinner, Sunset , Rainbow, Trailer - Wednesday

Woke to my bottle cages having been finished on the #3dprinter yesterday morning and they came out wonderful. A little thready but that rubbed off easily.

Holy balls was that stage of the Giro crazy. It was DUMPING rain on them most the time and the last 30K was wild. The 2 leaders falling at different times, one missing a turn then came back to win at the line. Much water! Much Carnage! Much Wow!

Rain inbound...

Mounted the cages and I love them. Best thing is I can always print more or print them in less infill to lighten them.

Went out to rake grass to piles after the boys had done some the day before.

Rather windy thru Friday.

With the wind and rain inbound I did a trainer ride. I have setup my Garmin coach plan for the 50 mile race/ride end of July and am trying to actually follow the workouts. It sees my 50 mile ride Sunday so has me on mellow rides.... now. Yesterday was 3x6 threshold power which I managed to get a bout a minute into each 6 block before I couldn't hold it anymore...

Got a bump in my VO2 and FTP though after the ride. My fitness is getting better slowly.

But never made it to threshold HR during the ride. Which I find interesting that I tend towards a zone 3 HR most all rides and rarely break too far above.

The rain hit as I was riding inside.

We had a few good cells come through that dumped pretty hard for a while.

It rained off an on much of the afternoon. I got my new water bottle set for the bike, 30oz bottles which will be great for the heat of the summer. Scheduled 2 jobs for next week and got the trencher rental setup. @stryeyz got home from work then we went to our session in town which went well. After, this was the weather...

We went to Eddie's kitchen for dinner and drinks which was super tasty food.

As we were heading home the sunset was super cool looking, though my phone focused on the windshield more.

A bit better.

But to the east was a killer rainbow!

It was super bright but the sun soon went down and it rapidly vanished.

Once home I got the trailer hooked up for the grain run I have done this morning already.

IMG_20260513_201824.jpg

Been to town for grain and unloaded it already after getting gas on the way home, Giro is on, Boys to school soon, no rain today, PDC is on, once it dries out I can work in the yard, I should get the chicks moved out to the brooder soon, I will pickup R after STEM, and then make dinner this evening.

I'm so close to hitting my first mileage goal of 1k... and nearing halfway to my second of 2500.
