3 Hours Trenching for Irrigation, Fencing, Fire, Grill, Spa Motor Borked - Saturday
I was to Home Depot yesterday morning by about 7:40 to pickup to trencher then was started trenching by 8:15.

The thing is a bear to work with as it is not powered drive so has to be drug backwards to make it trench. I got the front yard done but in the process sucked a piece of fence up when a tine grabbed it. As I was untangling it the neighbor asked me about a potential irrigation job which I may get after our trip.

I moved to the back yard and had to trench through the chicken run. I got the trencher into the back yard on the other side of the house then got both lines trenched. One by the house and the other along the chicken run fence.

Some of the trenches had to be deeper than others to fit the number of lines that will run in it. The valve box will be in front so the trench has to accommodate four 1" poly lines before they split off to various areas.

It was 10:30 and I had the trenches all done and then loaded the thing back onto the trailer and hauled it back to Home Depot in the Valley. Nicely it was only a 10 mile drive and not terrible traffic.

Once home I got texts from my other client regarding a fence yard for her big Akita dog. I found a place on Craig'slist that is in North Spokane that has the exact type of fence panels she wants. Not bad I think, $200 per 7x10ft panels with posts and hardware. Will only need 2 of them to make a 10x10ft kennel off the garage. The tough part is the electronic dog door with a sensor that opens when the dog is near...

SOOOOOO SORE from the trenching. Back home I went through the garden, prepped some parts and tools, then in the evening got a fire going.

I grilled bison steaks for dinner and baked some of our yellow potatoes from last year that are surprisingly still good. Reminds me I need to get some planted for this year even though I have nowhere to plant them as of yet.

The hot tub motor #2 is borked. It hums and clicks when we try to start it but refuses to run. I pulled the side panel off and tried thwacking the motor with a rubber mallet in case it had locked up, but nothing. Most likely it is the start capacitor that went bad. Will find out today if we are still in warranty, if not I will pull the motor and get a capacitor ordered or if available in town will go get. Most likely will have to order it though. At least there are shut off valves by the unions to allow me to remove it without draining the tub.

I slept for pure dog shit last night with the pain from the trenching. Every time I woke up it was to my rolling over and the pain spikes in my hips and back. The handful of ibuprohen did nothing to assuage the pain unfortunately. The muscle relaxers are helping this morning though.
Today I have no clue what else is going on. I am sore. Need to find a hay bale for the animals but only am seeing idiot cubes or 3x4x8 bales which both suck to drop in the pen. Will likely just get some small bales to last the next week in hopes some 3rd cutting alfalfa round bales become available.
