2 Mile Run, Shoes, Actifit, Watercolor, Creek Tunnel Ice Buildup, 3DP, Darts - Thursday
Yesterday morning I was awake a bit later for once, but that reverted right back this morning to my regularly scheduled waking time of 3am... I made the mistake of updating my #actifit app before dawn which was.... WRONG thing to do so soon. It was borked and took till mid morning for them to fix it.
I got the boys to school then once home headed out for my morning run. I managed to make it 2 miles this time with only a couple walking stints. The cadence line shows when I walk in red... Not too bad this time thanks to the flat and level Crescent rd which can be seen in the top line of elevation.
Once home and cooled down I got my clothes in the washer then spent time dinking with actifit until it was working again and I also went looking for a new pair of running shoes.... LOL I have the Lone Peak 9 arriving today. My current pair is the Lone Peak 3.5..... That is how long it has been since I was running more regularly....
The watercolor prompt for the day was "Tenrec" which I had to go look up what the hell it even was and to my surprise found out it is a tiny musical hedgehog from Madagascar. My attempt with the pic I used for the model below. They are the only mammal to act like an insect and rub its quills together to make sounds.
Early afternoon I wandered the farm a bit and made my way to the tunnel. This is NOT WINTER!!!!!!
The spray from the creek has ice hanging all over the place.
Some pretty long icicles have formed.
The ice has built up all around the creek and the moss is well suited to the environment.
This tree branch in the spray of the small falls....
Is totally coated in ice!
The moss holds frozen water drops right above the water.
I need to print this pic out as I want to try and do a watercolor painting of the rock pile and need the print to work from.
My basalt boulder has such a lush coating of moss on it and it looks like this nearly year round. It gets a bit dry in the summer but otherwise is nice and green even mid winter.
The next sheet of fabric finished printing after 2pm. The next one got started right away and finished overnight. I will start the next in a bit to get another pair of sheets done today. Still a long way to go to a finished shirt/top.
Took me a while to figure out what else to paint. The top right is essentially what my run looked like in the morning. Crescent road runs straight as an arrow for 3/4 mile and is lined on either side with fence and trees.
Then in the early evening as I was making dinner I was at the board and did manage some solid shots. It's always that 3rd dart that refuses to be with its siblings.... Fucking loner!
After the 140 I managed a nifty 147 with the triple 13 and 18s.
Today I get the boys to school in a few hours, will try another couple mile run, new shoes will be here, I will dig into the engine more, try and eliminate this shitty cough that is hanging on by nails, more fabric will be printing, and then Honnold will be free soloing Taipei 101 this evening I want to watch.
