One Piece and Pokemon Graded Cards New Additions

Hello everyone, i hope you are well! This is the first post i make under the Hive Collectors community and i hope for a lot more as i am really into collecting.

So first things first, even though this post is about graded cards, i have to let you know what i am currently collecting. In general, my collections consist of 3 things in that order in terms of quantity:

  1. Authentic cards (One Piece, Pokemon, Dragonball cards)
  2. Funko Pops
  3. Silver Coins

My silver coins collection so pretty small like 5-6 in total. The Funko Pops are quite a few, at least over 50 i would say. In terms of cards i most likely have thousands but not that the vast majority of them don't actually have a value.

You see cards have certain rarities like Common, Uncommon, Rare, Super Rare, Double Rare, Secret Rare, Alternate Art, Manga Rare and such. Note that the most common pulls are from Common to SR so basically everyone who buys packs most likely gonna have a lot of those. The other ones are limited and have harder pull rates.

A lot of factors play a role in a card collection, though. Besides the rarity of the card, the set that card is from and the condition of the card also play a huge role in terms of its value. Finally, some cards like the ones you see in this post are graded and based on that grade, the value can go higher than usual. I will make a detailed post about grading another time. Let's go check out the cards:

So today i have 2 graded cards. One is One Piece related and the other is Pokémon related. As you can see above, the first one comes from One Piece and, more specifically, is the Japanese version. In the card, you can see Admiral Kizaru, a popular character in the One Piece manga and anime.

The name of the graded company is PSA basically the most reputable and one of the oldest out there, even though i got some doubts in terms of its reputation. In any case though, if you look closely to the card you can see its grade "8" and that this is an Alternate ART card, meaning one of the limited edition ones.

Btw this one is among the less rare even for an Alternate art and that's the main reason i bought. It was and it is cheap and at the same time it's a beautiful cards, what do you think?

Moving on to another graded card that comes with an 8 but the only difference now is that this is a Pokemon card. The 8 means that the card is Neat Mint so basically of a very good quality and as you can see in the photo you can also find more info about the card.

Info like the set that you can find this card from, which is the "Lost Origin" one and the number of the card, which is 130. Giratina is Pokemon that a lot of people like and again, this wasn't that expensive. I really like the art as well.

In order to give you a perspective regarding the value, note that most cards that are from Common to SR in terms of rarity have a value of 2 to 50 cents most of the time. Both of these cards as graded card have a value of less than 20$.

Again it's a matter of perspective. If you ask a random person out there, he can find 15$ for a card to be too much for a single piece of paper. There are cards, though both Pokémon and One Piece that are sold for 100$, 200$, 1000$ even 10000$. I am on of those collectors who collect less expensive cards which i can afford and above everything cards that i really really like the art!

Thank you for stopping by!

All the photos are mine out of my personal collection
