Una cuestión es mirar resúmenes en vídeo o juegos de práctica y otra, muy diferente, es ver los desafíos del Clásico Mundial de Baseball en vivo. Es decir, cuando realmente importan los resultados. Si habían dudas por disipar en el team venezolano, en el mediodía de ayer fueron despejadas, luego de sacar los 27 outs del cotejo que les enfrentó a los Países Bajos. Y la verdad, el pitcheo nos hizo salivar. Luego de Ranger Suárez, pasaron por la lomita Eduardo Bazardo (Seattle), Luinder Ávila (Kansas City y alguien a quien no teníamos en el radar), José Buttó (San Francisco), Andrés Machado (NPB) y Daniel Palencia (Cachorros de Chicago) ¿Quienes nos impresionaron? Bazardo, Ávila y Palencia. Lo de éste último es un verdadero espectáculo, píldoras a 100 MPH en promedio reventaban en la mascota de Contreras, ante la impotencia de los bates naranjas. 14 pitcheos y se acabó el juego. Bazardo sacó los tres outs con 10 lanzamientos ¿Recuerdan cuando afirmamos la economía de pitcheos, como un factor de suma importancia? Parece que nos escucharon desde allá. Ávila fue un caso aparte, 44 lanzamientos pero de una calidad increíble. Este muchacho tiene mucho futuro. Es un colocador de pelota alrededor de la zona, como tenía tiempo sin ver. Me parece que fue una victoria importante porque Paises Bajos sabe jugar y tiene peloteros muy buenos.
Como bien plantea, esta selección nos ha derrotado en varias ocasiones y, en las dos últimas ovasiones en las que nos hemos enfrentado en clásicos nos han derrotado. Feliz jornada. Salud y saludos.
Así es... por ello quería remarcar el hecho de una selección que no garantiza una "victoria automática"...al ganar el desafío, Venezuela se coloca en una muy buena posición para avanzar a la siguiente fase.

Muy bien repartidas las carreras empujadas por el bateo de Venezuela, aún no supero el gesto de Acuña Jr pidiendo el challenge por un strike que le cantaron que no le gustó 😂
Pero eso sucedió en el juego de práctica versus Houston, jamás versus Países Bajos...
