Es muy difícil pronosticar en béisbol. Aquellos lectores consecuentes de éste blog, recordarán que en nuestra previa de la temporada los Cachorros de Chicago, eran nuestro principales favoritos para llevarse la división central de la liga Nacional. Pero estamos cerca de comenzar Junio y las cosas no se ven como escribimos. Es decir, todas las demás posiciones de la tabla se encuentran tal como las previmos, pero el primer lugar es de los Cerveceros de Milwaukee, con unos sorprendentes Cardenales de San Luis detrás. Y no es que los Cachorros se encuentren fuera de carrera. De hecho, ésta división se ha convertido en la mejor del béisbol porque todos sus equipos tienen balance ganador. But with June right around the corner, the standings aren’t matching our script. The rest of the division is shaking out exactly how we envisioned, but the Milwaukee Brewers are currently sitting in the catbird seat, with a surging St. Louis Cardinals squad breathing down their necks. It is not like the Cubs are completely out of the race. In fact, this division has turned into the ultimate dogfight, with every single team playing above .500 ball. The difference-maker has been the Brewers playing small ball with a Caribbean flair, alongside a pair of Cardinals rookies putting up video game numbers in their dream seasons. Plus, Chicago is sitting just 2.5 games back of the co-leaders, so you definitely can’t count them out as true postseason contenders.
