El local también posee una muestra de documentos y objetos usados por el artista al cual está dedicado el espacio. Uno de los que nos llamó la atención fue un retrato autografiado por el "Deuce" Benito Mussolini. Jamás podríamos especular si fue por su amistad con uno de los fascistas más conocidos de la historia o por simple cortesía del dictador al ser ambos tocayos. Otra parte de la muestra que nos encantó fue la sección dedicada a los barcos fantasmas, donde el artista hace gala de su visión al representar naufragios o barcos de metales retorcidos parecidos a monstruos. La mayor cantidad de escenas pintadas por Benito tienen al mar y los puertos como tema principal ¿Lo más llamativo? El artista usaba la técnica de la espátula para impregnar la pintura en sus creaciones sobre la tela. Una vista cercana de los cuadros dan cuenta de la maestría que poseía.

      The store also has a display of documents and objects used by the artist to whom the space is dedicated. One of those that caught our attention was a portrait autographed by the “Deuce” Benito Mussolini. We could never speculate whether it was out of friendship with one of the most famous fascists in history or simply out of courtesy as they were both namesakes. Another part of the exhibition that we loved was the section dedicated to ghost ships, where the artist shows off his vision by depicting shipwrecks or twisted metal ships resembling monsters. Most of the scenes painted by Benito have the sea and harbors as their main theme. The artist used the spatula technique to impregnate the paint in his creations on canvas. A close view of the paintings shows the mastery he possessed.

      ¿Lo más impresionante del Museo? Una sección donde se exponen los tallados en madera de proa de los barcos. Los capitanes acudían al artista para que se ocupara de crear la efigie representativa de la nave y muchos de sus trabajos en ese arte están en una sala dedicada exclusivamente a tal genialidad. Las obras de los demás artistas argentinos que complementan el patrimonio del Museo es arte moderno y arte religioso repartidos en varias salas del segundo piso. Recomendamos hacer el recorrido comenzando por el último piso para ir bajando conforme avance. La suprema verdad es que el Museo Benito Quinquela Martín nos ha quitado el aliento y recomendamos la visita a sus espacios encarecidamente.       The most impressive part of the Museum? A section where the wood carvings of the ships' bows are exhibited. The captains would come to the artist to create the representative effigy of the ship and many of his works in that art are in a room dedicated exclusively to such genius. The works of the other Argentinean artists that complement the Museum's patrimony are modern art and religious art distributed in several rooms on the second floor. We recommend taking the tour starting on the top floor and working your way down as you go. The supreme truth is that the Benito Quinquela Martin Museum has taken our breath away and we highly recommend a visit to its spaces.
