Eid al-Adha or the Festival of Sacrifice

Muslims celebrate two distinct annual festivals, each with its own unique significance: Eid al-Fitr marks the successful completion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, while Eid al-Adha commemorates the absolute devotion and willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son for Allah.

Hey friends come and celebrate Eid with me 🤗

Any festival is incomplete without family and friends
We Pakistanies are fond of eating, getherings, and talking 😉.

Our Eid first day dress plans days ahead. A night before Eid day, we sisters, cousins, sisters' in laws, nieces all together go to shop for matching bangles, and other accessories.

After that we all go for Mehandi (Hina)

It's a tradition now all markets remain opens till 3/4 in the morning.

Early Eid morning all the men and boys go to offer Eid prayers, then Qurbani ( secrifice of animal) is done.

And women start preparing Eid special breakfast, few eateries are must like (sheer khorma).

Vercimilli cooked in milk with dry dates and lots of dry fruits, (Halwa Puri)

Semolina dessert surved with flour made deep fried small paratha, on Eid UL Adha Kaleji (liver) is specially served.

Over the breakfast all children ask for Eidi from their elders.

Eidi is paid in form of currency, it's like a Christmas gifts, this makes every child very happy. Even at this age I love to ask my parents, aunts and uncles for Eidi.
Eid joys doubles when you get Eidi 🥰.

After that we pay visits to elderly members of the family.

Our family tradition is on first day we visit our fathers parents' house for lunch, then dinner at our mothers parents' house.

Second day our mothers elderly sister arrange lunch at her place, after lunch we visit friends.

This photo is Kulfi, Pakistan's most famous dessert.

Third day dinner at my father's elder brother.
Very tiring but great 3 days.
