A place where I was happy

Hello, coffee lovers.

It's always a pleasure to return to this wonderful community, especially when we discuss topics like the one prompted for this week.

I remember that morning in Santa Clara very well, a place I also love to return to.

My husband and I had gone out looking for a nice place to have a good coffee, and we found it.

I remember it very well. I remember sitting on that balcony, chatting with Abel, and watching people walk through the city; I watched them from a distance and thought how lucky they were to have a café like that in the city.

The people of Santa Clara have a café right in the city center, overlooking Vidal Park. To their delight, they offer excellent coffee, accompanied by cookies and chocolates.

That's what I was thinking about: the delicious coffee, a special place, and the best company in the world: my husband.
That morning I was happy, I remember that well. I don't recall another time in a coffee shop where I was as happy as that day; and I can honestly say I've always been a very happy woman.

That's why I'm so happy with this week's prompt. It's given me the chance to relive a beautiful day, full of sunshine, coffee, and smiles.

Perhaps that's why we usually drink coffee in the mornings here, to feel happy again.

I think there's something magical about the ceremony of brewing coffee, watching the steam rise from the hot cup, feeling the warmth in our hands as we hold it.

And, of course, drinking it. Here in Cuba, coffee is called the nectar of the gods, and I think it's a very fitting name.

Today I remember that day, which I return to whenever I think of Santa Clara, whenever I drink coffee, and whenever I do, I'm happy.

I am a happy woman.
