RE: Getting old, gloomy or gold!!

Getting older is not always an easy road and having dementia makes it even more so. I am glad that your family is taking an active and sharing role in the care of your mom. I don't think it's easy for the ones who have dementia, for at least in the beginning, they see it happening and realize what's in store.

I pray from the depth of my heart that may God give me an easy exit from life, not after experiencing a lot of pain and misery.

I too pray for this for myself as well. I completely understand. It takes courage to get older-at least I am finding it to be that way.
